Carby comfort food for the GF crowd. Wild Wood's offerings are pretty darn diverse, with everything from tapioca flour waffles to brown rice noodle lasagna.

Tips for Wild Wood Bakehouse & Cafe

It's ok I guess, for gf, but I honestly make better gf sweetbreads at home. Banana bread, for instance, that noone can tell is gf. The tiramisu wasn't bad, but soggy cake and a lot of coffee butter cream is not hard to replicate. I was hoping for some experienced cake baking, that was light and moist. What you get at Wildwood is typical dry, styrofoam textured cake you get with gf cakes.

My mother was French, an accomplished pastry maker and I really miss that. Maybe it just can't be done gf. Frankly, so far, I'll stick with Betty Crocker mixes, for cake and brownies they're the best I've tried, to date. I hate that that's the truth.

Citysearch Editorial Review. Westlake residents and nearby workers nibble gluten-free baked goods or freshly organic, healthy cafe fare in the restaurant-cum-art gallery.

I wish I could give more stars..... I honestly wish I could say we had a great experience.

However we did not. We bought a chicken sandwich (good bread 'ok' chicken salad), piece of vanilla cake (dry, flavorless, inedible), loaf of bread (yummy but VERY expensive), and sampled brownies and a lemon bar (these were both great and moist).

I washed my hands in the bathroom and it was really filthy. I will spare you the details. But I seriously didn't want to even touch the soap dispenser. The man at the cash register was anything but friendly. The kitchen looked dirty.

I was so excited to find a gluten free place! But sadly, I don't think we'll go back where it is dirty, the staff is unfriendly, and the food is very hit-or-miss - and very expensive.

100% Gluten Free. This place has excellent black bean enchiladas, 3 egg omellettes, and French toast, and it's all 100% gluten free! I think this may be the only all GF establishment in Austin, and I love it!

Overpriced and not so good. I used to go Wild Wood before they made it big, I just recently visited and found it to be very overpriced and not worth the money. A bag of granola was $10. Now I would not mind paying that if it was fantastic granola. The granola was nothing to write home about, better stuff can be found at the Farmers Market and Whole Foods. I find this to be true of their soups and many other items I've purchased. Sadly...not so impressed.
