What People Are Saying About Uchi Restaurant

In Short – The vibe at Uchi is sophisticated yet relaxed, with the well-heeled and tattoo-laden coexisting in harmony. On any given evening, it's filled to capacity with diners conversing beneath a bold, red expanse intermingled with golden flowers. Dimly lit lanterns hanging from the high, vaulted ceiling provide a romantic ambience. Tender Muscovy duck, grilled on Japanese charcoal, are appetizers to salmon or striped bass sushi, Brie tempura ringo or pan-seared scallops served with samiso sauces, baby bok choy and shiitake mushrooms.
Don't Eat Here!!

I went to Uchi for after I got engaged and I had the worst experience ever. The head chef was incredibly rude and arrogant. And his food was not event that good. The food portions are small and the prices are extremely high. I have had much better sushi and similar items in Denver, NY and Boston and this place defintely paled in comparison. The restaurant ruined my engagement evening. I would highly NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant. There are way better places in Austin.

Good Happy Hour
by RayFoodLover
Went to Uchi a couple weeks ago for the 5th or 6th time, but it was my 1st time to go for Happy Hour. They had pretty good happy hour prices. I think the spicy crunchy tuna was $7 and sake is $3... I will definitely be back.
