Cheddar's Casual Cafe

Worst waitress ever.. My daughter and I have enjoyed eating at Cheddar's for many years. Over the past year or so we found the wait staff to be inept at best, slow and somewhat rude at other times. Today we went to the Pflugerville location after one too many bad experiences at the Hwy 183 location. It was no better. I like the food quite a bit and consider it a good value for the money as well. That being said you would think that the staff would be better trained and more courteous and actually hustle to earn their tip. I think it's time to find a new family favorite spot.…

Awful. We ate, for the first time, at a Cheddars on 9/17/11. The service was mediocre, but obviously he couldn't keep up. And, the place was not too busy. I noticed as we waited for our drinks that a table near by was waiting on their ticket receipt and credit card for close to 30 minutes. The gentleman actually asked for a manager that apologized, but offered nothing else. THere were a couple of flies around that annoyed several tables in the area. And, I continually saw servers walk around with their hands in their pocket while every table around us waited anxiously for food. IT took 45 minutes before a simple salad and chicken fried steak came out. I asked for a manager and asked if we would have food coming any time soon, and she was coy about the wait. The breading on the chicken fried steak was awesome, but the meat was so chewy it ruined the meal. The decor doesn't match the ambience that the staff and food present. I'll never go back to Cheddar's. It was a waste of money. This is a sad fast food, actually slow food, version of a CHilis or Applebees.…

cheddars in Pflugerville. My husband & I went to Cheddars on Tuesday night. (May of 2010) I ordered the chicken alfredo. Our food arrived, the waiter put it down & walked off without saying one word. My chicken was red & clearly raw. We looked around for a waiter. No waiters or waitress was there. My husband went to the kitchen & told the "manager." After a few minutes the waiter came out & asked if i would like him to bring me a plate to put the chicken on & take it in the kitchen to cook it. Then, he came back after about a minute & said, "I better take the whole plate, cuz' the rest of the food might be contaminated." While I am waiting for my food, my husband ate all of his. When my food finally came out, (the chef brought it out). I ate a couple of bites, then got a box to go. The bill was brought to us. We were given a check for the full amount. We left very unhappy. The slap in the face was that the manager didn't even have the guts to come to our table. I called the manager the next day & all he said was, "I'm sorry you feel that way."…

Nice Place - Bad Food. My wife had Grilled Tilapia With Mango Salsa and I had the 8 oz. Center Cut Top Sirloin Steak. Both were under cooked and not as ordered. The steak was extremely tough. Ate 4 bites and gave up. Waiter never asked how the meal was. They will never see us again.…
