Read before you visit!! Helpful advice.... The Megaplexx, once a great store but has gone downhill fast. I actually know people that work there so I'll let you in on some helpful advice.

1.) They OVER PRICE EVERYTHING!! Its at least 2.5 to 3.5 for their markup. Buy your lubes and Condoms at Target or Walmart and you will save a bundle!!

Even better check out or call ahead to see if a toy you want to buy is there, check it out, and then buy it ON-LINE! Save $$.



2.) Forget any real advice: These people are there to collect a paycheck and ring people up. Typically they know very little about the products and are too short handed to actually help anyone.

3.) Check the product before you leave the store!!!!!! I can't state this enough!! As soon as you walk out of the store they will not refund your $$ or exchange the merchandise.

Make sure to ask the clerk to put batteries in (which are cheap) and test the merchandise to make sure it works.

4.) Ask a clerk to open the merchandise for you so that you can make sure you are getting what you want and are paying for. So many people come through and purchase a product they are not happy with, and opening the product and testing it out could have saved them the trouble.

5.) Don't trust what the clerks recommend. They are their to push what the "novelty clerk" has ordered and what doesn't sell fast enough for them. Trust me 100% on this one.

6.) Their lingerie stinks!! Go to La Rouge or the Bazzarr for this alone.

7.) Do not buy their 9.99 dvds, unless you want to sit through countless ads and commercials in your movie.

8.) And lastly be careful about "checking" out their preview rooms. The clerks, especially on the night shift are known to hustle non-english speaking people and make up false reasons to take your deposit from you.

They HAVE to give you a chance to clean up or if they are really screwing with you, talk to the manager from 8:00-4:00 or call their corporate office.

Best Adult Store in Austin. This is definitely the best place in Austin to go for adult gifts or gag gifts. The store is HUGE and pretty well lai d out. It's bright and well organized. Prices vary a lot, but you can find items for less than $20 (or more than $200) so even if you're on a budget it's a great place to go. Staff has always been friendly but not over-bearing, and I've never felt weirded out by the other customers.

The parking lot IS a little creepy at night because the surrounding trees, but I wouldn't let that deter you. Just make sure you're at the right place. The turn in can be a little easy to miss. One time I accidentally went to a Video store a little south (but on the same access road) and I was THOROUGHLY creeped out and disappointed. Make sure you're at the right store! :]

Best one stop adult shop in town. This is a really awesome place. They have the biggest novelty selection ladies!!! DVD selection is I'd say the best in town!!! They have women working there which is SO NICE. Women are more than welcome and on Thursday's they get 20% off their ENTIRE PURCHASE!! You don't have to be a dancer to get that discount like at other places just need to be a lady. Of course there are always specials on DVD's which is more than I can say for other places. The staff is friendly and really helpful with any questions. It is one of the cleanest shops around I'd say. Management will take care of any complaints you have which is nice. Parking lot is a little dark at night but if you ask the staff to walk you to your car they will without hesitation as I am a woman that will go in by myself. They've got it all, lubes, novelties, flavored anything, enhancement products, those edgy products for those of us that like to take things that step further which I love, heck they even carry some things you wouldn't normally find at an adult shop.....

Location is right off the highway - and its south but definitely worth the trip. I live up north. Plus its close to the Southpark Meadows shopping center which is convenient. That is an awesome shopping center too.

Good Selection, kind of creepy. Great selection in toys, movies and other great stuff. I have to complain about their parking however. Terrible lighting at night, surrounded by a heavily wooded area is kind of scary for a woman going in by herself. Has viewing rooms as well, and some guys just sit in their cars in the parking lot. It is scary at night.
