Thanks So Much. I just wanted to say thanks for everyone's posts This is great to know you can not trust this company. Hopefully someone high up can see this and get the Austin Management changed one day.
Beware of this carpet company. We purchased three rooms of carpet on August 15, 2008 and when customer service called for an install date, we told them September 15, 2008. We figured that we would give them one month to get the carpet. Today is September 15, 2008 and we did not receive a call saying they would be here to install the carpet. When we called customer non-service they said the carpet had not arrived yet. I ask for the customer service manager to call me. After about two hours I called back and ask for her. She acted like she never received the message. She could not tell me why we had not been informed that they were not going to install today. She said maybe tomorrow? Now I have to take another day from work waiting to see if they will come. I said I wanted to cancel but the C/S manager said I couldn't nor would they consider a discount for the non-communication. Don't use this company!!!!

Would Never Use Again.
Do your homework before using these guys. I'm going on 7 months and still have not had everything fixed. I was told the installer that did the work was the best they had and she has never had a complaint against him. Last time I asked about him she said she fired him. The district manager told me that they he has been doing very sloppy work she told me I was a liar. Not one single person spoke English that showed up. My carpet finally got tacked down and they finally fixed the baseboards but was told they do not do this for everyone. Some people might think I'm too picky but my tile job does not look like others I've seen. The tiles are uneven, grout is chipping away and many different colors. Some of the places have too much grout and others not enough leaving sharp edges. Here are some pictures of the job they did at my house, if you think the job is good use them. I wish others would have informed me. When I copy the link I get an error so after you copy it to your browser you will have to get rid of the spaces.

Worst Service in the business, never use these guys. Never use Carpet Mills of America. The carpet installer told me this would be his last job with Carpet mills that these people are very hard to work for. The price was okay but the installer department does not speak English and it will take forever to get the work done. Tyreek the Manager for all of Texas says it is not Carpet mills of Americas fault that they cant find good installers, the installers say the opposite. They never show up when they say they will. They will charge your credit card the full amount even though the conract says they only charge half until the work is done. Do your homwork and ask around before using this company.
Very Poor Customer Service. Having the same problem as many others, cannot get someone out to my house. Called the District Manager after 4 months and 5 appointments which no one showed up. Talked to a man Tyrek or something and explained the situation to him and he said all we can do is out job and started laughing. Said " we are still in business" and thats all that matters. This needs to be put to a stop. Why would they do this to customers.
Avoid Carpet Mills of America Austin. Unless you have a lot of free time avoid this company. They will not show up when they say they will and don't seem to care at all. They are nice while buying but when installing and trying to set up appointments they are very rude. Never been treated so bad by a company.
was told job would take three-four days. It's been over a week and still not completed. broke light fixture first day. Failed to bring needed materials, Don't know when their crews will show up.. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE if you want work done on schedule, or with people who use english as a first language. Communication problemw between crews and head office. Communciations problems with customer. When problems come up they push you off onto the installer and don't want to own responsibility for getting the job done right. Read their contract carefully and don't sign if if you don't like what it says..
POOR WORK, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, VERY UNSAFE.
Very Very Poor customer service.
Had tile installed about 3 months ago and had many problems since. The child cutting the tile was probably 8 to 10 years old. When they removed the quarter round they used a saw that cut into the baseboard leaving a gash all the way around the kitchen. I was told this is not there responsiblilty. They have scheduled 5 times to show up in the past 2 months and have never showed up. Zeena the head lady is very rude and loves to scream. Even threated to put a lean on our house because we wanted our money back because we can not get them to show up. Carpet is still not tacked back down, tiles are very uneven and grout looks very bad. Cannot put the quarter round back around the island or cabinets because the tiles are so uneven. Zeena said this was the first complaint that she has ever had from this installer, but the District manager showed up one day and said this installer has has very poor work lately. She told me that was untrue and that her district manager was a liar. I would never use these people again for poor work, rudeness, and safety concerns. Child cutting tile in my front yard, when they put the dryer in they pinched the vent and almost caught a fire, carpet is still not tacked down and we have nails in places where our child has already cut in foot once. When I told Zeena about it she screamed at me.
Today is 12/01/07 and they still have not shown up. They have scheduled a total of 7 times and have never shown up, each time we remove the washer and dryer, All the china and china cabinet and get ready for them and they never show up. If you call them they will scream at you. Zeena did tell me once they give the installer the ticket it is not there responsibility.
Awful Customer service. Really bad communication. Decent prices.. I also had a very bad experience with Carpet Mills. I have to agree with the previous review: customer service is awful. They can't commit to a date, won't show up and won't even call you to reschedule. The problem is that they subcontract the installation and they're not in control with the contractor they use. Price was decent, but don't buy there if you want to save time.
