In Short – The bar attached to upscale Roaring Fork inside the Inter-Continental Stephen F. Austin Hotel is a star. The enticing bar menu includes such standouts as fish tacos with shredded cabbage and spicy chipotle mayonnaise, and spicy tuna tartare totopos. The unique drinks, including the Huckleberry martini, will keep you lingering over conversation. The feel of the bar, like the restaurant, is a hard-to-pull-off combination of laid-back Texas charm and upscale panache.

Hugely appealing burger...no scallops please

by medicine at Citysearch

Take it for what it is, a chain and pretty standard upscale bar food. The "big azz" burger delivers in a big way. Drinks pretty good and reasonable - given the atmosphere. Never order the scallops. I have made better at home and they only give you about two. Just scallops on a plate. No garnish no veggies nothing - big disappointment. However I recommend taking a buddy during happy hour and just getting a burger. You won't be disappointed.

Chef Krellenstein is the key

by albertmtz at Citysearch

I frequent the Roaring Fork as much as humanly possible. The drinks are always great and the food is incredible. Sure its a Robert Magrath restaruant but the key to its success is the Executive Chef, Brian Krellenstein, he adds his own personnal touch to every meal. He has developed an extensive menu of southwest cuisine that is bold and flavorful.

  • Pros: night life, valet parking, service
  • Cons: expensive

Great Bar Food

by josh at Citysearch

I think the bar is better than the restaurant. They menu is smaller but the tables are, too, so it's a nice place to sit and be intimate. The lighting is great and the bartenders are really nice. Great food for a good price, considering how nice it is.
