Customers for years. Yep it's not the Hilton but this is why it's call Cabins & Cottages...you pay a cheaper rate to get that "family" atmosphere..Been staying here for years & will continue to do so....The old owner Ivan & the new owner Pierre both have always been great!!!
Nice cabins and cottages. A nice place at a fair price. Our family stayed there and had a BLAST. We sat outside and grilled and talked until lat. There are quiet hours after 11:00 so we had to shut our music off but at least the kids slept. It was good to have a kitchen too. Cheaper and more relaxing than trying to eat out with children. Be sure to check the name and address. We booked at the wrong place and switched to this one. Make sure it is CABINS AND COTTAGES
Great place for a wedding. I had the best time at this wedding ever! The ceremony was out under some AWESOME oak trees with a view of the lake and a cute little Gazebo. The reception in the hall was great with lots of barbecue and dancing with a twinkle lighted ceiling. The best part was not worrying about driving home afterwards. We stayed in a cabin there. It was great to just hang out and party with everyone all weekend.
VERY rude customer services.
We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The rooms are VERY small and the title cabin is quite misleading. After checking into our room that we were told could accommodate 5, we discovered that the futon was about the thickness of a comforter. It was like lying on bare bars. Don't get me wrong I have slept on worse in my day, however it was in a third world country where I was paying $2 for a room not $130. When we went to talk to Lynne and Pierre about the situation they were very rude and treated us like were irrational. We had to go and get another futon from our friend's cabin and carry it over to use for the night.
The Outback Hall has only two window AC units and was extremely hot for the wedding dinner. We were all drenched in sweat by the time it was over.
They expect you to wash all your dishes before leaving, again something I expect from a $5 hostel.
When we checked in we offered to pay then, she said we could pay when checking out so that the other couple staying with us could pay separately. However, on Sunday when I went to pay she had already run my card without my permission. Then told me that she tried to call me before running it, which was not true. I asked if one of them would come and take a look at the futon and consider replacing it. She said she would send Pierre to the room in a few minutes. I went back to the room and he did not show up.
On the other hand, they were very polite and accommodating to the bride, groom and others who were paying $1000s of dollars for the wedding.
They never once apologized or offered anything to make our stay more enjoyable.
Hopefully, this review will prevent others from being mislead into having a nice wedding weekend at this poor quality establishment.
