Best Haircut Ever. I visited Shag as a shot-in-the-dark, first timer with a hair emergency.

Dora was fantastic...she re-moisturized my dry hair, and cut in beautiful layers, blending in my grown-out bangs.

I was happy in the salon, but now I am home... realising I have the best long haircut of my life!!!

She is talented, and I trust her vision. Thank you for my new lease on life!!!

Nicole does great highlights and I love my haircut!!. Nicole makes my hair look wonderful! She gives me highlights and long layers. I love the way she does my hair and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

IRIS, Color and Style Master!. IRIS GAVE ME A COMPLETELY NEW LOOK!! Her color skills top all the colorists I have ever seen - from SF to LA. She gave me the greatest color, highlights without using bleach. She really cares about maintaining healthy hair, and has an excellent grasp of what to do for your hair type and facial features. I feel like I had an Oprah makeover.... Iris Rocks! I love the salon, too - very homey and uplifting, comfortable and very Austin with professionals ala Los Angeles.

Nicole is the best colorist in Austin!. I searched for years to find someone who really knew how to color my hair, and was always disappointed as a result of the color being too dull, or too chunky. I stumbled upon Nicole Coose by accident, and I am so glad I did! I have been going to Nicole for cuts and highlights for a couple of years now, and she is FANTASTIC! I get constant compliments on my hair, and it is all because she is a master with highlighting. She expertly highlights it just enough to not look chunky, or streaked, but still look glowing. I would highly recommend her!

Naomi is the best!. I have never had a stylist as amazing as Naomi. If I know exactly what I want, she does it perfectly. If I have no idea, she always comes up with a great suggestion. And as far as color goes, I can't imagine that anyone can do better. Plus, she is fun and nice to spend a couple of hours with She is seriously fantastic and I always feel so pretty when I walk out the door!

Best hair days from Song!. I just got the best haircut from Song the other day. I just love it! She was recommended to me by one of my co-workers who has gotten her hair (cut and color) done by Song for a couple of years now. Her hair always looks great and she gets Song to change it up ever so often so that you never get bored with it. Song really listens to what you want- not to mention she gives a killer scalp massage while she washes your hair. I totally recommend her to anyone.

The salon itself has a very untraditional feel to it. The people there aren't pretentious nor are they snobby- but they are quick to make you feel comfortable and at home.

iris makes shag the best hair place in austin. Iris has been doing my hair for abbout 2 years and she recently moved to shag. shes awesome and quite a perfectionist when it comes to hair. she cut my hair short and added her unique style and creativity into what i wanted. It turned out to be a masterpiece! the environment is awesome! very layed back and homey. it's in a little house off south first. the music is fun, the people are fun. they offer you drinks. get pampered while you get your hair done!

best color. Iris gave the best color/ hilights I have had yet. The end result was exactly what I described if not better. And the haircut was awesome, perfectly layered and volumous.

Iris did my hair for the first time- she is new at this salon. She is very detail oriented and did a great job.. The salon is zen like. Very peaceful and relaxing. Everyone is friendly. Also, there are boutiques next door for some great shopping. Iris spent a lot of time with my hair and I feel like she really understood what I wanted. I walked out of there loving my new color and cut.
