I had to speak to 3 different people on separate occasions before they would allow me to make an appt. with the attorney and then finally tell me their fees. Person #1, person #2 and then the atty. just to make the appt. Initial call to person #1 at the firm gathered basic information from me including what my questions/issue was for the atty. But the first question I was asked was what did I do for a living. Had to wait for another person (person #2) to call me back - another part of their screening process. The second person (assistant or paralegal) didn't even know the basics of my original call which I told to person #1 and he wrote down. The very first question person #2 asked me (again!) was what did I do for a living and what did my spouse do for a living. Thought I was calling for a divorce which I was not. When I explained the situation again, told me Becky (whom I wanted to see based on my research of her educational and professional background on her web site) would not be interested in talking with me about my questions unless another matter was involved. Said he would refer me to one of their associates. I guess my family legal concerns were not worthy of Becky's time. Finally realized this firm was more about the money involved in the case, if I and my spouse had a respectable income (thought it was a divorce case) and screening out callers who did not have high income level jobs. Decided to go elsewhere. Very disappointed after the research I did to select this firm. This firm needs to be more humanistic and personal - a complaint I hear from many people seeking the consultation of attorneys in many practice areas.
Pros: Prompt return on second call from firm
Cons: Made me feel my legal questions were not worthy of their firm
