Very poor results...... I went to this place twice to have my hair cut. The place is hard to find and the parking is just non-exsistent, but the first hair cut, wasn't bad.

For my return trip I ended up with the worst service ever. It has been six months and my hair is just now getting long enough to even think about having it cut again. To say that it was cut WAY TOO SHORT is very much an understatement. I asked for a trim and ended up with an inch of hair in the back. I started off almost shoulder length.... and only had what I did because I stopped the haircut.

The owner's way of offering to make it right was to say that I could come back in and have MORE hair cut off..... This place is hard to get to, only acceptable priced and that line about satisfaction guaranteed is one big joke....

Go someplace else.......any vote they got for being the best must have been ballot box stuffing....they could care less about customer satisfaction...........I gave them one star because you cannot give the minus 1

Amber has my vote !. OMG! I have gone several years without a stylist, you know the one you call on when you want to look your best ? The one you can totally count on to make the ugly duckling into Cinderella ? Where to start ? Ok so I go to Amber after being referred by my friend Adrianna, a high end retail owner. Amber had done a Brazillian (sp) blow out, cut and color. She even had a video shoot that evening and looked amazing ! I think she even did her makeup ?

Amber is drop dead beautiful. Do you really want to go to a stylist that isn't ? She asked all the right questions before she got started on my frizzy mess. After some great advice and her professional vision, I walked out of there feeling gorgeous again !

Reasonably priced for what you get.

Love this place!. I have been going to Vanity for a couple years now. Holly does my hair and can honestly say I have never had a better stylist. She not only listens to me when I tell her what direction I am going with my hair but she also gives me advise on what really can and can not work with my hair type. I also get my hair colored and highlighted with Holly and I love it everytime. On my last visit I decided to get a green science facial peel with Gene. If you have never treated yourself to one, I highly recommend it. I really felt like a new woman when I left the salon.

I have to say I love this place as a whole. Its this cute little house in South Austin and when you walk in you immediately feel comfortable. The whole staff is great and they are very enviromentally friendly too. Another bonus is they are open on Sundays.

Unforgettable Experience. Now... I have to say, I have been to A lot of salons, and this one, hands down, was the Best. Laura Gamble, the Owner Glossed and Colored my hair. Man she knows what she's doing. She is Amazing at Hair Color. Not only that, but the consultation was top notch.... and I'm not letting just anyone touch my hair, but her.....I'm hers Forever! Don't mess around with these other places, GO to Vanity, you just gotta experience the place and the Owner!

Spa Night Rocks!. On Spa Night you get to sample 4-5 different services and the staff pampers you...good eats and beverages, massages and lots of TLC. They're knowledgeable and fun to be around also, it's a nice vibe. They give you great tips and share their secrets. Lisa Marie gave me an incredible facial- she's my go-to- skincare girl! Go with a friend- it's a great night out!

Intimate atmosphere with Austin flare. The excellence of Aveda products and training in an intimate atmosphere where you are known to the staff - not just shuffled through the salon factory. Cute home environment feels uniquely Austin. Wonderful haircuts from Lisa Marie - and fabulous conversation a plus.

WORST HAIR CUT EVER!. THE OWNER CUT MY HAIR AND DID A CRAPPY JOB THE WORST I HAVE HAD IN YEARS. I WILL NEVER GO BACK OR REFER ANYONE TO HER. MABEY HER OTHER STYLIST ARE GOOD BUT DO NOT TRUST LAURA WITH YOUR HAIR UNLESS YOU WANT DISSAPOINTMENT. I ONLY GIVE IT 1 STAR CAUSE IT WON'T LET ME PUBLISH WITHOUT ONE OR IT WOULD ZERO STARS.

i love this salon!. first of all, i was charmed by the fact that this salon is located in a quaint little house. it's so cozy and inviting and surprisingly quiet and tranquil considering it's located in a very bustling area in south austin. i have gotten hair cuts, have dyed my hair, have gotten waxing for the first time and a facial for the first time at this location. i have worked with three stylists at this salon and each one is just great! i will continue to go to vanity again and again becaus not only do they listen to my needs but they go above and beyond to meet them!

Best in Austin. I was there with not happy hair, she was ever so much in a hurry,and was asked not to go out in the rain,so not happy hair is now nappy hair !! I Love coming to Vanity, they make me feel, and look Good, thats all I have to Say !
