Lovely boarding facility

I've been at Rocking B for about six years. This is a very nice place to board your horse. Please take some of the negative comments with a grain of salt. I've owned and boarded horses for over 30 years and it never fails to amaze me how many so-called experts there are out in the horse business who love to sow the sour seeds of their own personal agenda.
The owners are very accessible and very diligent about the care and upkeep of the physical facility. As far as a boarder, I have personally experienced their concern, empathy and helpfulness when it has come to my mare and where the horses are concerned, they know and treat each horse under their care as an individual. The feed and hay are of high quality. The trails are very close at hand and it is so convenient not to have to trailer your horse so that you can trail ride. The trails are a nice mix of shady woods, streams and open fields, so you can have a nice leisury ride in the shade or an exhilarating canter or gallup in the fields. There is also a round pen and arena if you would like to school your horse. This is definitely a place to look into if you are a pleasure rider and would appreciate the camaraderie of like-minded folks. If you want a foo foo barn with the excitement of politics and in-fighting, there are other places that would fit the bill.
Great place to board your horse!

Comments are directed at horseman42. Loading a horse into a trailer with a front end loader tractor. Think about it. How ridiculous does this sound unless the horse is dead. The owners are great horse people. They have horses and ride. They are very concerned about their boarders and their horses. Old and moldy hay --- hay doesn't stay around the stables long enough to get old and moldy. They only buy the current years hay and are very picky when they get it.
I would recommend Rocking B Stables to anyone needing a place to board their horse.
Rocking B Stables is SUPER!

My comments are directed at horseman42 and hrselvr,.OK, enough of the "Management-Bashing"! Do you people know what's involved with running a boarding stable? Lots of blood, sweat, tears & money. If you had / have a problem with the owners, be an adult and approach them respectfully and try to work it out. If you have / had any ideas on improving the establishment, bring it to their attention! The statement of loading a horse into a trailer with a front end loader tractor has got to be the most ridiculous thing in the world! Do you have any PROOF of this? Are you willing to share this proof? And by the way, what's your real name?
My name is Cheryl Snyder, and my horse, goat & I have been very happy here over the years. My horse & I have been at Rocking B Stables for at least 6 years. My goat is only 2 1/2 years old & was born on their ranch.
I always come to the owners if I have a concern and they have ALWAYS worked with me!
The ranch is very affordable & if you check around, you'll see it's true. The boarders are very friendly & we help each other.
All the horses are attended to properly. If you were not happy at Rocking B Stables, why did you board your horse(s) here in the first place?
There's bound to be accidents & horses not liking their pen mates or "neigh"bors at ANY facility. If I see something that doesn't look right I tell the ranch owners immediately and they investigate right away.
I like the management at Rocking B Stables, and am very disgusted with the trash talk about them!
Like I said previously, it takes a lot to run a horse boarding facility. If YOU owned a boarding facility, I'm certain you would appreciate helpful comments / suggestions instead of people trashing you!
Now, if you'd like to leave your real name and comment on what I have written, feel free. Or just come on down to the ranch & ask for me, I'm the only Cheryl who boards there. Thank you.
By the way, the Veterinarian sets his fees, NOT Rocking B Stables! If you cannot be there to hold your horse for the vet or farrier calls, you should pay a holding fee. I have done so, and appreciated the help!

I used to board at RBS. I have always found the owners to be friendly and was never concerned about the care of my horse. I recently had a conversation with the owners and they expressed the fact that they had recently had a issue with a couple of boarders that left with out paying the balance owed to them. Makes me wonder if horseman42 is one of them or a friend of one of these individuals. I say check out the place for yourself and I promise you won't be disappointed. Deanna

Bad managment for a nice facility
by horseman42 at Citysearch
Nice facility, poor excuse for management! The place itself could be really nice they do have nice trails, round pen, a walker and some nice stalls. But when it comes to taking care of the horses the owners need to go to horse care or animal care 101, ive witnessed horses not being fed properley owner not caring if the horses get fed the right amount of grain or round bales being old and moldy. On another occasion i wittnesed the owner trying to load a horse into a horse trailer with a frontend loader tractor (the horse was kicking the bucket) with the bucket of the tractor, and they have no concept of taking care of animals besides horses. So no this place is not safe for your horse.
