Highly recommended!. Orpheus is fantastic! I can't say enough great things about this academy. I have two kids that have taken piano lessons and musicianship over the past six years. All of my kids' instructors have been of the highest caliber, all with advanced musical education. Each instructor is committed not only to high-quality musical education but also to kindness and fun! The group musicianship classes that are included in the tuition take the students' learning to a very advanced level. Academy owners Wendy and Klondike are responsive to students' and parents' needs and make constant improvements based on family feedback as well as their own extensive experience. You will not find a better value or better quality musical instruction.

Excellent Music Classes. My children - ages 8 and 6 - are students at Orpheus, one in guitar and one in violin. They have had a fantastic experience, which in turn has led to a wonderful family experience. My kids' teachers, both highly educated musicians themselves, challenge and encourage them in very age-appropriate ways.

Practicing their instruments is something my kids want to do, rather than feeling like it's "homework." They love to show me what they've learned.

The owners of Orpheus, Klondike and Wendy, give the kids several opportunities each semester to learn more through performance classes and recitals.

In addition to their excellent instructors for their instruments, my kids also attend Musicianship classes which have given them a solid understanding of musical theory.

I highly recommend paying the folks at Orpheus a visit if you have a child (or adult!) in your life that is interested in furthering their musical education.

Great Music School! Great Teachers!!!!. My 3 children have been instructed in Cello, Piano & Violin by several of Orpheus Instructors over the past 6 years.

My son received a Music Scholarship for Cello. My daughter is holding 1 chair/2nd Violin in her Highschool Orchestra. Only the Piano Student chose Cheer leading over Piano and drop out. Which was NOT the instructors fault.

My children and I love all of the staff at Orpheus Academy and especially Klondike and Wendy. We have seen them interact with Children of all ages, and every child has a smile on their face!

If you are looking for instructions for your children, or for yourself - Orpheus is the place I can recommend from the bottom of my heart!

They are make learning Music fun for Children and Adults but are still serious Teachers that will push your Child to achievements!

Best piano school in Austin. My 6 year old daughter is currently taking piano classes here. This school came highly recommended from the music professors at UT Austin and I can see why. Very meticulous and patient instruction style and the additional 30 minute theory class (included in the tuition) is just awesome! The students rapidly pick up rhythm and ear training through a fun environment!! I wish I had this when I was a kid!! The school also provides ensemble musicianship and performance level classes for advanced students. Finally, unlike some music schools, this one allows parents to observe the lesson, which allows me to help my child practice at home.
