Great food and service. The service and food were great for our entire family, ages 5 - 70. The waitress was knowledgeable about gluten free diets. They offered to make any menu item in a Gluten Free version. The GF dish that was ordered Sesame Chicken was sauteed without the breading in a special GF sauce. It was served with GF soy sauce on the side. The food came out perfectly and hot and was well seasoned and flavored. Portions were large, and prices were reasonable. The dumplings were large and fresh. The 5 year old loved the pan fried noodles and ate many of the vegetables. The fortune cookies were not stale and had decent fortunes. Plus the entire building was extremely clean. The only con was they forgot the edamame we ordered as an appetizer. However, since the food came so fast, we didn't even miss it, and were not charged for it.
Where was the chicken in the Kung pao?.
I enjoy the other Suzi's (north), and have eaten at the location before, so I was disappointed that the food was not up to par. We started with Peking ravioli's (dumplings) and they were burned on the edges; the kitchen had tried to scrape off the burnt edges, like you would a burnt piece of toast. When I complained about the dumplings, I got a shrug from the waiter--then he walked away. Since my dad was munching away on them anyway, I couldn't really return the dish.
Next, we ordered kung pao chicken and mongolian beef. The chicken dish came out beautifully--lots of peanuts piled on top. Then we dug in and found more peanuts--and some little pieces of chicken. Mongolian beef--same thing. We were very underwhelmed.
Suzi's Chinese Grill. My boyfriend and I always go to Suzi's and eat sushi, it so fresh and tasted. But today is diff. we walked away with out finish the food. We were so upset about the sushi chef. I think his name is TOM. (Short little Asia guy the servers all call Tom) he uses his hand to cover up when he sneezed, didn't even wash his hand and keep making the sushi. That just makes me so sick. Please watch him when he makes your sushi you never know how cleans is the HAND. We'll make sure people that we know WILL NOT go to SUZI'S anymore.
Best Shushi I have had anywhere in the world!. This is the best Sushi I have had anywhere in the world! This includes Japan, Europe and allof the major cities in the US. The rolls are inovative and complex with diverse flavors. The guys at the counter will make up rolls for you to your liking. The Chinese menu is typical Suzi's. A little more upscale that your typical Chinese menu. I prefer this location to the Anderson and S. Lamar locations.
Skip this location. Something seemed better on my last visit. And then I realized they may have gotten rid of the worst host ever. This guy was rude, and disgrace to any place he works. The food was good but the service still needs work. Suzi, I know your Korean but your service does your culture no great honor. Please restore honor to the service in your business.
lunch hot spot. decent everyday chinese food. the hot and sour soup on the other hand is a slam dunk. the entrees are all okay, nothing great and not worth going for. but on those cold days when you are craving soup, get a big bowl of suzi's hot and sour. you will be up and running in no time.
