Love it!!!! – My experience at Adelles has been wonderful! I have been there many times I got my junior and my senior prom dress and now I just got my wedding dress there and love it they have a huge selection and it's divided by sizes which makes it great because you don't have to be there for hours looking for your size. The people there are soo nice. They helped me from beginning to end. They helped me look for dresses try them on look for accersories everything! The seamstress is just great! She does such a great job! The dress prices do vary and some do get pricey but you definately get what you pay for! I've shop there 3 times and I can't say anything negative because there just great!
Worst day prom dress shopping!! – I went into the store with my daughter and her grandmother, it was one of the worst days in her life. We spent over 2 hours in the store trying on dresses. The service was not bad but they do have a tendency to leave dresses in the dressing rooms. What was bad was the prices on the dresses. They were all very over priced. We were told they had dresses on sale for $99. My daughter tried on several of those dresses that the saleslady brought us.They told us that they were $99 and a second saleslady agreed with her of the price. My daughter found her perfect prom dress, we went to pay for the dress and it rang up at more than twice the price we were told. There was no way I was paying $250 for that dress, especially when we were told $99. Plus it needed to me altered, we walked out with my daughter in tears, she was heartbroken.Watch the dresses also, they tried to sell us one that had been altered but supposedly they take no returns. The dress was all messed up withparts missing and rearranged hooks and such, they wanted full price for that dress. Not happy at all.
Worst experience ever. – I went in with a friend and had to wait for several minutes before anyone would talk to me. When they finally addressed me, they showed me a row of "simple dresses" and walked away. They never asked about price range, size, anything. Then I had to pick out and carry the two dresses I kind of liked to the dressing area. I stood around for another 10 minutes before anyone would let me in the dressing area which had tons of left over dresses in it. The attendants didn't speak english. They did not supply a corset. They wouldn't let me look at my self in the big mirror. They didn't ask if I'd like to see any other dresses. Then after I was done, the one english speaking person working there came back over. She asked if I had found anything. I said I'd tried on two dresses that I did not like. Then she said, "Well, that's all we have."
And their selection is terrible. They have tons of Quinceanera dresses but their wedding dresses are just ugly white prom dresses.
In short, don't go to Adelle's Bridal unless you speak spanish and you don't mind doing everything yourself.
Fabulous! Wonderful people - seamstress is amazing! – I went to several bridal stores and found them to be okay, but a bit stuffy and focused on commission. I went to Adelle's and even though Marie, the saleswoman who helped me, brought me tons of dresses to try on that were more expensive, she didn't bat an eye when I picked a dress that was on sale for $50!!!!!!! Yes, $50! I had to have a corset added to the back and I called another seamstress in town who told me that the price would be around $250 - $350 but she wouldn't be sure of the price until she did the work. I asked Adelle's seamstress, Maria what her charge would be. She charged $100. I was nervous doing that since the other woman's price was so different - I really wondered what the workmanship would be like but the salesperson told me that she had worked with this seamstress for years and she did excellent work. She was right! A month later I had an incredible looking corset in my dress - the work was done beautifully! Maria only speaks Spanish but I never felt like she didn't understand what I wanted and there is always someone there to help me translate.
It turns out that I've lost a ton of weight for my wedding and, because of beadwork in my dress, my dress probably won't be able to be altered down any more, so I may have to find a new one. I plan to wait until 6-8 weeks before the wedding and see how much weight I've lost. I'm not at all worried that I'll be able to find a dress that fits at Adelle's and have Maria do any adjustments in time for the wedding - they're just wonderful!
great dresses and great customer service – I went to this store looking for a wedding dress for my best friend as I am her matron of honor. she had never gotten to wear a wedding dress for her first wedding. but when the ladies who helped us when we had a bit of trouble finding her a dress that fit her needs. when we finally found the perfect dress and when she saw how amazing she looked she began to cry she was so happy. the staff that works there knew she was new at planning a real wedding they were so patient with her and they helped us with dress. they even gave her a moment to cry because she was so happy. then I found the gown that would make me happy so we both are getting our gowns from there then we are both going to go Vegas and get married there. I just wanted to thank the staff because they were the most amazing they helped my best friend find everything that she needed to make her day that much more better
Nice people, good selection – This shop is located in a strip mall and is tiny inside. It contains racks upon racks of prom, bridesmaid, and bridal gowns. The service is minimal when it comes to looking for a gown and if you ask them where a particular gown is, they usually did not know since the dresses are separated by size only. They were very helpful when I need help trying on gowns and had a relatively large dressing room with 3-way mirrors so I could get a good look. All the salespeople were nice. I did not buy my gown there because I just did not find anything that I went crazy over.
The selection there is pretty good and the prices range from a couple hundred dollars into the thousands. I found a lot of knock-offs of designer gowns that cost a fraction of the designer prices. The only problem is that most of these are discontinued dresses so you have to buy as is but they do offer in-house alterations. The only thing that I did not like was that the lady who did the alterations did not speak English and I had to get a salesgirl to translate when I inquired about prices. I found that particularly troublesome since I wanted to be able to tell her exactly what I wanted and not have to worry about something being traslated improperly.
something other than strapless – I had headed all over the bridal boutiques in Austin, and, although the people were VERY nice all of the dresses looked exactly the same. I was directed to Adelle's to try ot find some dresses with sleeves. Their selection was HUGE, they do in house alterations, and everyone was so nice. Also, it turned out that my dress was discontinuted, and although I was going to buy it for the $750 on the price tag, it was sold to me for half off!
