Tried it and liked it.. I saw the two very different reviews and since I lived close by I figured I'd drop by and give it a go.

They have a pretty varied menu, the lady (she might have been the owner) suggested a Janjanmyun when she learned I was Korean, since it'd been a while since I've had those bean noodles at Yenjing I got them.

It's rare to find good black bean noodles in the states, so I was pleasantly surprised when it tasted quite authentic. It was better than most of the stuff I've had elsewhere. Including Yenjing. I got a Tansuyuuk as well (Another Korean/Chinese dish, kind of like a light sweet & sour pork), that one was pretty good too.

I didn't have any issues with my stuff being overcooked, didn't really notice much or if any MSG, and I'm pretty sensitive to the stuff.

I don't know about the other items on the menu, but it seems like they are pretty good at what they do when it comes to the Korean or pseudo-Korean stuff. You only find Jajanmyun and Tansuyook in Koreanized(?)_ Chinese restaurants, if that makes any sense. Might be their strength just isn't in the Chinese side of the menu.

I didn't see either of the recommended items on the menu itself, so you might have to ask for it. She did say they're going to get a new one soon though.

Only negative thing I'd have to say about my meal is that the service can be a little slow, I stopped by during dinner when there were about 3 other tables in the restaurant, it took them a little time to get to me. But all in all it was worth the wait.

It was simply the best tasting fried rice I ever had.. It was simply the best tasting friend rice I ever had. My friend loved his Sushi and Rolls and also commented on how low the prices are comparing to other resturants he has been to. Owners can't speak good English, but were very friendly and served us nicely. I have been to this resturant couple of more times last month with couple of my other friends. I highly recommend trying out some Sushi rolls and Combination fried rice.

Service, bizarre. Sushi, about average. Chinese food, mindbogglingly bad.. I've never written a restaurant review before, but my experience at Express Teriyaki & Grill was so appalling that I felt compelled to warn anyone considering it.

I arrived to meet a friend who was munching on squid salad that hadn't been thawed (pieces of squid were still frozen and crunchy.) From the time I arrived until we left, we were the only two people in the restaurant (at peak dinnertime, about 7 PM). Read on to see why we weren't surprised.

I selected a Chinese dinner special (soup; sesame chicken; egg roll; lo mein). The soup options were egg-drop and hot & sour. I ordered hot & sour, which was clearly no more than the egg-drop soup with some canned kernel corn and peas added to it, and a dash of soy sauce. Most bizarre hot & sour I've ever had, but it gets worse.

The sesame chicken, egg roll, and "lo mein" noodles were all exactly the same shade of too-dark brown, the color associated with frying something for MUCH too long. There was not a *SPECK* of vegetables to be seen anywhere: not a piece of cabbage, carrot, bean sprout, or even a garnish. The sesame chicken was extremely tough and chewy, as if old and fried 3 times, and had a strange sauce on it that didn't taste right at all. The eggroll was WAY overfried -- not golden brown, but chocolate brown. The "lo mein" noodles were simply flat noodles drenched in the same bizarre sauce that was on the chicken. I was hungry and unfortunately finished everything before I realized that the meal probably had enough MSG in it to slay a large dog. My throat, face, and body were electrically ZINGING with the uncomfortable buzz of too much MSG, and the feeling lasted for almost 3 hours.

The kicker was this sign by the register: "An automatic charge of 15% to 30% will be added to all credit/debit payments, but this charge will disappear in one week". The waitress could not tell us if it would be 15% or 30%, or explain why the machine adds the charge at all. Totally mysterious. Don't go.
