Tips for Kids R Kids

November 06, 2012

I am very happy that we found KidsRKids in Avery Ranch. The teachers are AWESOME! It was hard to let my little one start school and he cried the first week or so badly but, now I am glad we made the move. He is happy everyday and he talkes about his friends. I could not be happier. I just hate we waited so long to make the move. To the people who still thinking. Cameras are good and the glass walls are a big PLUS!. At least you can see in the room where your child is the majority of the day and you don't need an appointment to come and visit YOUR child when you want to make a surprise visit to see how they are doing. My tip to KidsRKids keep doing a great job.

We Are Happy With KidsRKids. My husband and I are happy with KidsRKids after visiting several schools in the area we felt that this school made us feel welcomed. The entire staff is so nice, you feel it at the front door. My kids are happy and that makes me feel good. I like seeing them on the cameras in their classrooms and when I am out of town it’s the best. We moved here with no family in Austin and it was hard trying to find the right childcare, I am very satisfied with everything the center has to offer and I look forward to being here a long time. Keep up the good work!

Cross The Track - Make The Change!!!!. I am glad I made my change to Kids'R'Kids Avery Ranch. The facility is nice and clean, the front office staff; are so friendly and the teachers are just sweet. I hate I listened to someone and tried the other school down the street. My child did not receive what I thought was going to be great care like they said. Personally, I have met the owner and she is nice. For the two friends I left down there, just leave, do it for your kids! Don’t worry about what others will think, and for the record the school on Parmer where she went is not good because now she is leaving there in too.

I DID NOT MAKE THAT POST!. I just learned of the post that so many think I wrote. I did not write that garbage. I never saw a teacher spank a child. I never told Mrs.Elwin that a teacher spanked anyone. The children are wonderful and precious. The teachers are pretty awesome. If I had ever told Mrs.Elwin that a teacher did something to hurt a child she would have been on the cameras checking things out, talking to teachers, etc. She would never have let it go. This is silly that someone could post junk (right after I left) and everyone had such a horrible opinion of me that you thought it was me.

I left for my own reasons not because I didn't meet standards. If someone said that, they are lying. If anyone wants to know why I left please ask.

If I had an issue with KRK or Mrs.Elwin I would not post it on a silly website !

Best. My son attended a Kids R Kids in Atlanta and we were very pleased we didn't dream that we could find a similar school as good as the one we were leaving. We didn't we found one that was much BETTER! The Avery Ranch Kids R Kids has surpassed our expectations the teachers are very interested in all of the children and our 4 year old son is learning new skills each week. Our son looks forward to the music, sport and tumbling classes each week.

My wife and I spend a great deal of time at the school either voluntering or spending time with our son watching his activities and this is why I am shocked at some of the negative reviews that I have read here on City Search. I do know that some of these reviews have been generated by former employees. I know from experience that when employees go because they did not meet your expectations that some will try to damage your reputation and or business. It is my opionion that this is the case. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the care and education our son is getting and would highly recommend the Avery Ranch Kids R Kids.

Amazed.. Being a former parents and employee of the Kids r Kids in Cedar Park I was amazed to see such a dishonest review from another former employee. I worked at Kids r Kids for over three years, in that time I enrolled three of my children into the program ranging from the infant room to the afterschool age. My children were never unhappy or seemed to be abused by any of there teacher. Each one loved coming every day because their teacher fostered a wonderful learning environment and love.

On the other side of the coin as a teacher there myself and know one that I worked with over the three and a half years I spent there ever laid a hand on a child. At one time while I was employed there I had been accused of abuse towards a child within the center, thanks to the school camera systems which are in place for the children's protection. It was shown that the child's injury occurred while playing on the playground and nothing more.

I know many of the teachers who are still at Kids R Kids Avery Ranch and none of those teachers would ever treat a child in any other fashion than showing them the love and respect each child deserves.

Quality Child Care. To start...I am a parent at this center; not an obviously disgruntled ex-employee. I am also familiar with licensing standards for the state of Texas (since I did research before placing my child in someone else's care), as well as reporting requirements for anyone who works with children. I am disappointed to read that an employee, austinmom73, claims to "know" of egregious behavior by "everyone" at this center and did not do anything about it. Anyone who works with children or the elderly are mandated to report such acts, and therefore austinmom73, you are part of the "everyone". This leads me to believe that these statements are flagrant. Licensing performs random, unannounced visits to all licensed centers, and has found nothing of the sort with any teachers at this center.

Kids R Kids at Avery Ranch is a wonderful center! The teachers are remarkable and do what I cannot do everyday...spend their day with my child. They are loving, respectful, honest and above all, have the children's best interest at heart. Kids R Kids introduces my child to new and exciting ideas and activities that help my child to prepare for Kindergarten. I have seen my child gain success when playing with other children, begin to follow directions (she's a toddler!), and bring home creative art projects.

I'm a realistic parent who knows that it's the small things that matter. I care about my child's teachers and the way they are treated. I hope that my child's teachers do not read the poor comments made by someone who does not support them.

As for the owners, I have nothing but respect and admiration for what they provide for my family. They promote an educational and loving environment for my child. And if I have any problem, I can guarantee you that I will address it with them...not post a hateful message.

Parents Please Be Careful. Hi Parents:

I just quit this facility. One of the reasons is because many of the teachers are spanking kids (w/o parent's permission) behind the cameras. They know the blind spots of the cameras and go there to "discipline" the children. I only worked at KidsRKids Avery Ranch for a few months. It was only a few months because I could not stand to see and hear teachers do this to children. I told the owner what was going on and she did not care. The teachers often brag about what they do to children and I feel all parents should know what goes on here. I did not go to school and apply for this position to tolerate child abuse.

Please also be aware of the owner's tendency to discredit her former employees. She will employ someone for years and once they leave for something better or get tired of her foolishness, she makes it as if that person was a monster.

Please review all licensing history, accredidation, and possible child care abuse of the owner. She even calls in reports on her own employees. She asked me to make a report on an employee she wanted to fire, but I refused to do so.

Really??. Beware of the owner writing her own "positive" reviews. This childcare is under horrible ownership. It should not be able to use the name Kids R Kids. They are all about money. I see why now the turnover rate is so high. I believe why it gets the reviews it has. I will never recommend this childcare to anyone and am pretty upset with the results of my child's learning. I would also give a no star if i could.

What A Great School. I can not say enough about Kids'R'Kids Avery Ranch. I love the entire school. My children have grown so much in this program and the staff is great. If you want your child to LEARN then put them in this program. They also have field trips that I am able to attend with my oldest child in Pre-K that made me feel like I was apart of his learning. It is hard when you are working and traveling away from your children. I log onto the cameras at Kids'R'Kids and I watch my kiddos play with their friends. I am happy to have this school as a part of my second family.
