simply the best japanese. My boyfriend and I went on sunday night for a birthday dinner. We ordered sashimi/sushi platter for two and it was amazing. the fish was fresh, the presentation was great, and an interesting/impressive variety. We were serviced by a very attentive and friendly server, and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. Everything about/in the restaurant was authentic - this is definitely our new favorite sushi spot!

Worst Sushi Experience Ever. I ran across Sushi Japon which can be seen while driving up I-35 North past Rundberg.

I order 2 pieces each of the Hamachi, Maguro, Unagi, and 1 each of Tobiko and Fatty Toro. The Toro was a tad expensive but that was to be expected. - market priced at $9 each. I then ordered a glass of plum wine.

Plum wine: Disappointingly too 'red' and sweet.

Nigiri sushi were very unfresh. The $9 toro was very, very unfresh and I only took a small nip at it. The seawood covering the tobiko, etc were chewed and chewed and chewed but I just couldn't manage to chew it enough to swallow and digest. So, I discretely spat it into my napkin.

They may be great in other areas but their Nigiri on that particular evening left a lot to be desired. So, I decided to pay my $35 bill and went to Mama Fu's Asian House since my hunger was even remotely satisfiedl

p.s. I should have ran out of the joint as soon as I saw the sushi chef and the food preparer scrutinizing a slab of fish and the sushi chef finally deciding to wrap it into plastic and discard it. He should have done that with all of the fish at the sushi bar and called it an evening.

The best!. The first time I came here, I was really biased. I have been a huge fan of Sushi Sake for years, but Sushi Japon has stolen my heart! I can't even tell you how many times I've been here now. I DO NOT eat anywhere else. The owners (I think?...they're sisters, though I know that!) are amazingly sweet. They offer the best service and are so sweet! They always know what my boyfriend and I want but still allow us ample time to order. They have a 'ceviche' they used to offer as a special that is not on the menu anymore and are always happy to let us order it! Their sushi is fantastic. I love their 'saba' and their unagi is the best I've had (eat it when it's still warm!!!). Also, their sunomono salad is fantastic. A lot of places get this simple salad wrong, but I have never had a bad one here. Their tempura is great, too! Very crunchy and just properly made unlike some places that have a very thick batter and do not use panko. What else can I recommend? Get the gindala!!!!! It is so good. It just melts in your mouth...mmm! And my boyfriend LOVES the gyu tataki! The ponzu sauce is phenomenal! I have been here so many times and have gotten such amazing quality food and service that I had to finally write a review. I grew up next to a Japanese restaurant owned by a Japanese couple...so, I have been spoiled all of my life and know good sushi! They tend to have a short staff, but always seem to pull things off. I have come when they are packed, and though the food came out a little slow...I was still really satisfied. Trust me! Just go! It is amazing.

great habachi food!. My girlfriend and I eat there every single month and crave the fried rice and hibachi chicken and shrimp always. Simply the best Japanese you could imagine, never been disappointed in the show, service, food, or ambiance.

great food great service. The service was awesome here. The staff is attentive & the service was fast. They were really interested in any suggestions, comments, & criticisms we had. We had absolutely no complaints. The atmosphere is relaxing & the decor was pleasant. . I did not feel like rushed at all .The meal was delicious. I would definitely come back again!

Nasty food. I don't know about the reviews but I visited here because of the review and it was just horrible. The table that i was seated to was very dirty and there were leftover food on the floor, the booth chair was very sticky. Another annoying thing was that food did not come out right, and worst part of all, there was something that looked like a b u g in the food. I asked to get another one, which took forever in the kitchen and the waitress was so rude. She almost seemed like she was mad the whole time i was there. I also notice some other waitress and the sushi bar guy talking about roa ches or something. I dont know about other people but this place was just bad.

Never been disappointed yet.. We've been to Sushi Japon at least 2 dozen times since it opened and have never been disappointed with either the food or the service.

Great sushi. Best tasting special rolls and hibachi!

This place is the best place for authentic japanese entrees and rolls.

It can't get better.

You guys should try the Lychee Martini.

its SOOOOOOOOOOO good

I know a lot of other sushi places that are ok... but this place is the bomb

i'm going back again.

THey had special treats for valentines day :)

Ewwwww. Wow. couldn't be more surprised.

The first time i went there it was ok. but last weekend,

the service was terrible, there was hair in my food. and some

insect antenna looking thing in my food. i was so disappointed and

I almost threw up.

It was just disgusting.

and i don't know how old the waitresses are but one of them tried to flirt with my husband

while i was there, asking how much he had and how much he was planning

to spend on me.

It was terrible .

i will never go back

fresh sushi. This restaurant is a great! I would have to agree that I enjoyed the secludedness of this restaurant, making the place not too crowded and a lot more enjoyable,I had a great time with some friends here, we had great sake drinks, and enjoyed the speciality rolls, the fish was so fresh and delicious. The price was fair and the service was great, I defenitely recommended this place to everyone I know and will be going back soon.
