I was an hour late to meet with April at Winfield and she was SO NICE about it even though she had to stay an hour late on a SATURDAY! April really wants you to have the wedding of your dreams and she will bend over backwards to accommodate you--smiling the whole time. I think Winfield is a good alternative to the Barr Mansion. It is INCREDIBLY affordable. Even though it's 20 min. from Austin, I think with the money you save you could hire a shuttle bus for the night to ferry your guests from a downtown hotel and back for this venue. We have not decided whether we are going with this Venue but if we decide to go the rustic route a la vintage villas, Barr mansion, etc. This would be our choice. It's pretty, it's big, the trees are BEAUTIFUL, it's set back from the main road, it's affordable, and April is someone every bridezilla wants at her side. I don't even think she is capable of saying the word "no"
Wonderful!. I have to tell you that you have a beautiful venue & everything was wonderful. I could not ask for a better day and that is mainly in part because of you, your husband and your staff. A special thanks to everyone for making it great. Thanks & have a wonderful day, Michele Ewerz

The epitome of top-notch service and class. The Winfield Inn met and exceeded all my expectations and gave me the wedding of my dreams. I was treated with the utmost care and consideration and all my questions were promptly answered. The owners and their staff were organized, well-prepared and very professional. The Winfield Inn exemplifies style and class while catering to specific wedding wants/desires. I highly recommend the Winfield Inn as an outstanding venue for any event and can confidently say you will be very impressed.
Beautiful Place, Great People.
I was referred to the Winfield Inn by a good friend who got married there. They raved on and on about how beautiful the place was and how hospitible the owners and staff were. They were able to work out a gorgeous wedding on their meager budget. When I was lucky enough to get 'trapped into marriage" as I always said, I immediately thought about checking the Winfield Inn out, based on the reference from my friend. I have to say that I am thouroghly impressed with the place. The ambiance is amazing. Just walking around the place makes me feel like I have taken a step back in time.
I am also extremely happy with the service. They have been nothing but cordial, helpful and extremely sincere about all of their actions. They have made what is normally a stressfull occasion for most people, an absolute pleasure to be involved in. I like how they have a formal layout appointment to go over every detail to make sure that everything that you want (that your fiance wants) is addressed. They have made my fiance feel like she is the most important person in the world, and that her wedding is the most important thing to them.
I highly recommend the Winfield Inn to anybody who is looking for a place to get married. It is beautiful and it is run by genuinely good people who go out of their way to make you feel special.
Rude, chaotic and very unorganized!. These people were amazing! Now, don't get me wrong...beautiful place and the people were nice upfront...but once they have your money...they don't really care about you anymore. I just recently had my wedding there and to tell the story in short...they lost my music, ruined my toast, let my cake go bad, yelled at my guests and my family and threw my mother and aunt out of the house the last day we had it rented because "They had to go out of town and needed them to leave early" so they put all of my gifts and cake and other belongings out on the porch and locked the front door. Yeah...these people were terrible! They called me a week before the wedding to come up with a game plan for the wedding and to get what I wanted...when I had already given them all the details in a meeting we had a month earlier!!! They had lost everything I had wanted! These people are awful and I have done my best to spread the word about them...DON'T USE THEM! Even my guests commented on how rude they were.
