good for a fast, cheap outfit..however.... Honestly, this store can very much be compared to forever 21. The buyers are obviously buying from the same place. all of the clothing is made out of the same material. except strut charges 30 dollars more. truthfully, as much as i like going in there when i'm bored or need a cute, cheap pair of shoes..that company needs to seriously go into higher end stores and take some notes on how REAL customer service is given. It is completely ridiculous how people are ignored. I visit the south lamar location at least twice a month and, as is everyone else, i am completely ignored. trust me...I am a 5ft, 95 lb blonde girl. OBVIOUSLY the problem is the ability to learn how to talk and help customers. i worked in retail for years at the domain, and i am completely dissatisfied with strut.

like i said before..go to higher end stores and take some notes, your sales would raise probably around 50% (if not more), if you know what you're doing.

whatever.

Horrible craftsmanship, NO customer service. Don't waste your money.. This place has HORRIBLE, BAD, SHOTTY CRAFTSMANSHIP OF THE CLOTHING. I went into Strut looking to do some shopping. I received horrible ... well actually NO customer service from the wanna-be trendy employees. After looking around a bit and not receiving any assistance, I decided I would only purchase a coat, that I really liked. Only to wear it that evening and have FOUR of the buttons fall off within an hour or two of wearing it. I understand buttons fall off... but FOUR the first time I wear it. WTF ....

To which, my complaint was received with a "so what are you calling for?" by an employee who for whatever reason could not give me to a manager. Craftsmanship of the clothing is not up to par, especially for the price, by far. Customer service is even worse (at the Lamar location). I DO NO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!

Do not waste your time or your hard earned money.

there doing tonight i actually had to go to the counter to ask for help.poor customer skills!!!!!!!!!!!!

but the clothes are fabulous and reasonably priced its just to bad that i will never go back due

to the customer service.

Adorable. I don't know what is going on in Austin, but everyone should head to the location outside TSU in San Marcos. My sister, mother, and I stopped in briefly while getting a feel for the campus and I couldn't have been more impressed. I am probably a few years older than the normal clientele, and my sister has been blessed with some serious curves which also seem out of the norm for the store. Despite this we were not only treated politely but enjoyed an enthusiastic and welcoming conversation/introduction to the store from the girl working that day. She left us to ourselves for a few minutes to look and then asked if it was our first time and told us a little bit about the store. Regardless of the fact that we didn't spend a dime, she invited us to join the email list, told us about the new myspace page, and explained when the good sales happen. So not only were the clothes completely adorable and reasonably priced (don't you dare compare this to forever 21), but the service (delivered by a girl who was as adorable as the clothing) was excellent and friendly. I will definitely be making the drive again soon. Hope everyone gives this location a chance!

Metropolitan fashion makes its way to South Austin at this uptown clothing and accessories store in the SoLa District.. This trendy and affordable south side boutique offers women the opportunity to buy a whole outfit without breaking the bank. Stained concrete floors, natural lighting and hip art create an inviting backdrop for a fashion show. All apparel is bought at market in New York, LA or Dallas and brought together to create the mystique known as Strut. Shoes and purses are abundant and are in up-to-date colors, shapes and sizes. Patrons will find timeless items of interest from this locally owned and operated fashion peddler. Funky sunglasses, matching accessories and quality costume jewelry finish off a mod look.
