This place has HORRIBLE, BAD, SHOTTY CRAFTSMANSHIP OF THE CLOTHING. I went into Strut looking to do some shopping. I received horrible ... well actually NO customer service from the wanna-be trendy employees. After looking around a bit and not receiving any assistance, I decided I would only purchase a coat, that I really liked. Only to wear it that evening and have FOUR of the buttons fall off within an hour or two of wearing it. I understand buttons fall off... but FOUR the first time I wear it. WTF .... To which, my complaint was received with a "so what are you calling for?" by an employee who for whatever reason could not give me to a manager. Craftsmanship of the clothing is not up to par, especially for the price, by far. Customer service is even worse (at the Lamar location). I DO NO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! Do not waste your time or your hard earned money.

I don't know what is going on in Austin, but everyone should head to the location outside TSU in San Marcos. My sister, mother, and I stopped in briefly while getting a feel for the campus and I couldn't have been more impressed. I am probably a few years older than the normal clientele, and my sister has been blessed with some serious curves which also seem out of the norm for the store. Despite this we were not only treated politely but enjoyed an enthusiastic and welcoming conversation/introduction to the store from the girl working that day. She left us to ourselves for a few minutes to look and then asked if it was our first time and told us a little bit about the store. Regardless of the fact that we didn't spend a dime, she invited us to join the email list, told us about the new myspace page, and explained when the good sales happen. So not only were the clothes completely adorable and reasonably priced (don't you dare compare this to forever 21), but the service (delivered by a girl who was as adorable as the clothing) was excellent and friendly. I will definitely be making the drive again soon. Hope everyone gives this location a chance!
