DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I just visited this establishment on 9/3/2012 and I was terribly disappointed in this spa and it's services. I bought the Mother's Day Groupon for myself and my friend that listed the services that we were going to receive only to learn after the fact from the owner that "Groupon made a mistake." This of course didn't make sense since Groupon would not know what services the establishment offers and of course each establishment proofreads the Groupon add before it's placed. Not only did she inform us that they were not going to perform one of the services that was clearly listed on the Groupon, but she was VERY rude as far as her interaction with us when we inquired asking us "what's your point" when we asked about the Firming Body Salt Glow being a full body service not just for our feet as she tried tell us. She continued to make excuses as to why she was not going to honor the Groupon I paid for. They had ample time to call us and let us know that "Groupon made an error" and that they would not honor all of the services listed on the Groupon but failed to do so. Not to mention the pedicure that I received, while the atmosphere was peaceful, the pedicure was a disaster as it looks like my 6 year old niece did it. Additionally the towel wraps were well past their prime and in need of immediate replacement as they were tattered with holes. Our Groupon mentioned that aromatherapy would be included in our massage and the steam room and that was not the case there was no aroma therapy to speak of. One positive point was the potency and abundance of wine and the dark ambiance, which caused me not to notice the horrific pedicure until the next day. This was totally not work the $200 I paid for these services. In conclusion I would be even more incensed had I paid the full price for these services as I've received much better services from other spas in the Austin/Round Rock area, Mecca Spa to name one. The owner should definitely learn customer service etiquette.
I became a Novita Spa member in
September 2011 after my first wonderful massage with Kristiana. By far, she is one of the best massage therapists I have ever had. And I have tried many! Although not completely dissatisfied with my old therapist, I was looking for something better, and more regular. I found this at Novita. I really LOVE their member benefits; (discounted add-on services, use of the steam room, and member specials.)
I have suffered miserably with shoulder and back issues most of my life, and have found deep tissue massage to help with pain. I began seeing Kristiana every month, and she helped me work through a lot of problems I was having in my back. She was very knowledgeable about anatomy, massage and techniques. I am now free of the constant pain I suffered from in my back, shoulder and right arm. Additionally, I started running in February and begain to experience some pain and tightness in my right hip. She quickly knew what and where to massage to help with the tension I was experiencing from that. Honestly, thanks to her, I am pain free, medication free, and can stay active! I look forward to seeing her each month!
I have never had any issues with scheduling, and the staff is always very nice. This review is long over due.
Great place. My wife suggested I get a 60 minute massage due to some back pain I was having. I was greeted with a friednly face and given a tour of the facility, very nice and relaxing. Before the massage I was able to use the detox steam room, and it was great. Kristiana was amazing. My back hadn't felt that good in three weeks. I have since booked two 90 minute massages with Krisitana, and I feel better everytime. This is a great place with very nice people, I urge everyone to go.
Spa Night. Recently attended a Spa Night at Novita Spa and had a great time! The facility is so serene, the staff is super, and the location is just perfect. You can head to downtown Georgetown for a quick spa trip or stay all day for all the Square has to offer including Novita Spa. I am hooked!
My husband treated me to a facial and make up application during the holidays. The facial was yummy, and I felt all glowy afterwards. I held off on the make up until I had a party to attend. The make up was subtle...I looked like me, but better. I understand that they manufacture their own producys. I was given a sample case of cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing products for both AM and PM. I used them religiously, and received my first compliment that my skin was looking softer and less wrinkly. I went in that day to purchase more of those products.
The women who work at the spa are very courteous and professional, and willing to accomodate. If you want to feel special; go to Novita Spa.
Pleasant Suprise. I just visited Novita for the first time and was very pleased. The ambiance was lovely and the facility was larger than I had expected. The services were reasonably priced and the staff was delightful! It is a great venue for a nice, peaceful day to yourself, yet there is plenty of room for a group spa outing. I highly recommend Novita Spa on the Square...I will be back.

Last week I hosted a group spa night at Novita Spa in downtown Georgetown and my entire group had a fantastic time!
Megan was so knowledgeable about the skin products, Christiana gave the best massage I’ve ever had, and the detox steam room was absolutely wonderful!
I can’t wait to make spa night a regular event on my calendar.

I have visited Novita MANY times, and except for a few months when the owner was away taking care of an ill relative (some one else was obviously managing it and dropping the ball), it has been wonderful. Always wonderful. She is obviously back now and has brought it back to where it was - I am certain it took some doing but I am pleased. I have my pedicures there, was in for one a few days ago and, as before, it was great. Their pedicures are was relaxing and are, I believe what I need, as a diabetic - a safe pedicure. The information they have tells me these nail technicians have advanced safety training in treating peo with diabetes, and I can tell. I asked what they use to clean their tubs (my podiatrist told me this is a dangerous problem in many places where pedicures are offered) and they told me they use a medical disinfectant that cleans and KILLS what it should, and that is what I want. I have also have had great massages there - and frankly, that is something for me to say. I am one of those freaks who does not really enjoy massages, but I have enjoyed the ones there. I have not had facials, but will as my friends say they are not only very enjoyable and relaxing, the products work, so I must get around to it.

Dear Spa Owner,
I wanted to let you know about my experience at Novita last Saturday. Hopefully my experience will allow you to more adequately serve future clients.
The massage therapist I saw, Kristiana, was, while a nice woman, not the best therapist. To be honest, I was very disappointed in the quality of the massage, and spent the majority of the massage time thinking it had to get better. Unfortunately, it didn't. Perhaps your therapist was having an off day, but the massage I received from her was nevertheless about what I would have expected from a fresh-out-of massage school massage chain therapist. It seems some therapists have the gift of touch, while others can spend hours in school, and never learn what comes naturally to their peers.
If you're in need of a good model, Myo Massage, in Austin, where I was a devoted client up until our move to Georgetown (and where I will begin commuting to, if a good therapist in Georgetown cannot be found), has consistently excellent and gifted therapists. I'm not sure what their screening technique is for new hires, but it must be a good one. I saw 7-8 different therapists at Myo at a rate of one massage a month over the course of two years, and without fail, all were exceptional. I never left a session not thinking my money had been well spent. At Novita, I felt I wasted not only money, but time on the massage.
On the upside, the nail tech who performed my pedicure, Linda was her name, I believe, was wonderful. I would recommend getting more pillows for the pedicure booths for clients. It was nice to have a blanket available, but I only had one pillow to place behind my back, and another was needed in order to sit comfortably. The $10 upcharge for a French pedicure surprised me, as I've never encountered an additional fee for a French painting, and I've had French on my toes for the last 7 years. It seems reasonable, assuming French takes a tech more time, but still a bit much. Nevertheless, the tech was great. -Of course, the true test of a pedicure's quality comes with time. Two days, two weeks, or two months to need maintenance? I've experienced them all. At present, I'm four days out, and still in good shape. So far, so good there.
Overall, the staff were all very polite, and friendly.
My intent of writing this to you, is so that you may improve upon your services, where they are found to be lacking. My family owns a small business, and we find constructive criticism and general feedback incredibly helpful. Hopefully you will, too.
-Guess what they said in response? Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I left this place with more muscle tension and back pain then I came in with. The pedicure did indeed chip on my big toe the following day. A big enough chip to warrant wondering whether or not I should try and fix it myself (though I've never painted my own toes). By day 7 I had to remove the pedicure. All but two toes were chipped in the way they've never been anywhere else for a good month post pedi. I wasted my time, and a good chunk of money to leave this "Spa" in worse shape than I was before entering. May have been an "off" day for Novita, and my experience an anomaly, but not even a generic "Thanks for your feedback, sorry your experience was disappointing", response? I've never been back, and relay the disappointing experience to all whom express an interest in trying the place out. I didn't plan to post a bad review initially. I wanted to give the business owner a chance to address the issue for putting them on blast publicly. June 22nd, 2011 is the date the above referenced email was sent to the email address Novita's website still lists as their point of contact. At this point, my review is long overdue. Travel 20 minutes south and you'll find a much better experience, at a much lower price, a dime a dozen.
Pretty bad exprience. When I made the appointment I made sure to ask how long it was going to take because we were getting 4 different services & I was told 3-4 hrs, sounded perfect! We arrived 15 min. early so we could do our paperwork. When we got there I gave the lady our groupon & she reviewed it. She got our paperwork ready & sent us to the back to the serenity room to fill it out. Once we filled it out we were sent to the steam room. After 20 min in the steam room our MT came for us. I have ZERO complaints here. I believe her name was Shannon, she did a great job listening to my needs & did an excellent job. After the massage I was told that there was some type of mix-up. They told us that they only had us down for the massage & nothing else (per the Groupon we purchased, we were also supposed to have a facial, hot stone pedicure &makeup application). We asked Diana if there was anything they could do. While we were waiting there were 2 other ladies that told us they had also had a problem with this place & not booking them correctly. They had to wait 2 months to get the rest of their services done. Diana came back & told us that there was no way we could get our facials done but that we could get themake-up part done along with their upgraded hour-long Pedi & Mani. She said that they would make a note in our files that we could come back at any time to get the facial part done at no cost. We went ahead & decided that that would be ok.The owner & spa coordinator did our makeup & did a good job. They explained all the products they were using. Although this part went well I broke out the next day & that was disappointing, not their fault though. We picked out our colors & sat down. I don’t know how they can call this a pedicure. We soaked our feet & they painted our toe nails (apparently, this is their basic Spa Bellapedicure). That’s not a pedicure; I can go down to any other Asian place & get ahell of a pedicure for ½ the price. They didn’t even upgrade us like they told us they would. Then to top it off there was a lady getting her nails done & she was the biggest loud mouth ever. She knew everyone who worked there so she kept talking to all of them & they weren’t really paying attention to us. Although the ladies were extremelynice I felt like they should have told her to hush, instead they talked to her the whole time. While we were sitting there they gave us abowl of acetone to take off the shellac manicure that we had so we could be ready once our toes were done. Bad thing is that they put a towel over our hands & the towel soaked up the acetone & it got all over my legs and it burned them. Since they really didn’thave room cause they were over booked they sat my friend & I at the same table. Again since they were overbooked the same nail tech was working on my friend & me. When they finally moved loud mouth I was able to move tothe other table. The lady that started my “manicure” finished mine but my friend had 3 different ladies work on her. The manicure was not upgraded like they told us it would be Igot another shellac manicure & it was the worst job ever. She cut my nails after I asked her not to &did a really poor job. My friend did a regular nail polish & that was a disaster too. They had no machine for her nails to dry & so she had to sit there for 30 min. not moving at all. Needless to say that it chipped within the hour after we left. After we went to leave the girl asked us how it went. I was 100% honest with them & they called the owner back. Melanie seemed very defensive & didn’t really listen to what we were saying. I told her that the pedi was suppose to include hot stones & she said we don’t do hot stones & the Groupon wouldn't have said hot stones because she personally writes them. TherapeuticEnzyme Hot Stone Pedicure included hot stones so basically caughther in a lie. I also looked up my Groupon on my phone, and saw it plain as day, the pedi should have included hot stones. LIARS!
