You can bring your own bottle of wine (non-Italian) for a small corking fee!. Great little neighborhood restaurant. The food is traditional and tasty. The ambiance is wonderful. The wine selection is slightly overpriced and limited. However, for a small corking fee, you may bring your own bottle of wine as long as your wine is not stocked by the restaurant. They only sell Italian wines so a California, French, or Spanish wine will work. The wait staff will discourage, but be firm. They want to pad your bill. Wait-staff is so-so at best. Be prepared for a long wait after you place your food order. If you dine during dinner hours, the portion size is large enough to split an entree. Since all entree come with unlimited bread and a salad, you can simply add a second salad for $2 or $3. Split entee, bring your wine and leave full happy for under $20! Avoid desserts at all costs. They are not homemade and they taste like any generic restaurant selection. Go to Gelattos on Guadulupe and 34th, within walking distance, to finish your meal.

Neighborhood Cafe. After 3 years in Austin and countless Italian restaurants, I can without a doubt say that this is the best food, especially for the money, in Austin. The food is fresh and always prepared perfectly. I highly recommend going for lunch, for a couple dollars more than a burger combo you can have a stellar Penne Bolongnese or wonderful cut of veal. The owner is on-site regularly and is very friendly. Waitstaff is generally very good, I've been there numerous times and only had one poor waiter. To my suprise the owner himself helped cover my table to keep the experience positive. The crowd is generally professional but Tony's is far from pretentious. I feel just as welcome in a T-shirt as I do dressed for a night on the town. For a nice, relatively quiet, and amazingly flavorful meal you absolutely cannot do better than Tony's Vineyard.

Wonderful Lunch Experience. My wife and I have been to Tony's several times for lunch. The wait staff is friendly, the food is always fresh, and the prices are great. Don't just go for the murder mystery entertainment and elegant dinners, be sure to stop by often for their extensive lunch menu.

We went to Tony's today and left in a great mood because of the excellent service.

Entertainment with a Wonderful Meal. There aren't many places in town to go where you can have a delicious 5 course meal and be entertained while you are enjoying your meal. Tony's offers something different to Austin with its musical murder mystery theater. My husband and I had a ball and will return with friends.

New Local Favorite. I loved the tortellini I had for dinner the other night! It was delicious. Be sure to try the calamari as an appetizer too!

You have to go to the dinner theater!. What a fun evening! We had a great meal and were very entertained. This is a fun and different way to spice up the typical meal out. The food was delicious and we had a great time.
