i love my hair.... Bob Salon is such a cute spot. They have a nice mellow atmosphere and the stylists are really friendly. Kate Hicks has been cutting my hair and I love what she does for my bangs. I went in recently with a picture and she was able to totally pick up on exactly what I wanted, plus she had great suggestions to help make the style I was looking for work for my specific hair-type. I am not a hair-do girl and Kate took the time to show me how to maintain the awesome style I walked out with. She's fabulous!

Exceptional!. I love BOB! Great place and everyone is very friendly.

Allison has done my hair for 3 years and I followed her over to this salon when she moved over here in 2007! Allison always keeps me 'up to date'......she's the kind of hairstylist you can trust, I simply say to her - change it up, and she comes up with a great new hairstyle/cut that is simple but up-to-date!

Bob Salon rocks! and Lizzie does the best blond. Bob Salon is so cute and such a friendly, cool place. it is chic but not intimidating, hip but not pretentious. it is a great place to go to get the best style for you. i love what lizzie has done for my hair. until i saw her i went to all the other "top" salons in austin and thought i looked fine. i look back at pictures of my hair BEFORE lizzie started with it and i am kind of embarrassed. she makes me look classy, natural, but cute and fun too. an expert!

Worth it!. I would recommend Sandra if you are thinking about going to Bob Salon. I've been going to Sandra for years! She is highly experienced and it shows. I've been to other, more expensive, salons in Austin and haven't been as pleased. My finicky husband has recently started going to her - and he was happy too. Her prices are also very reasonable.

Best hair in Austin. All you have to know is RON KING he is the magic man! Very talented and will create the best look! He is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Fabulous hair, color and a complete makeover, he is the best I have ever been to. He is all that and bag of chips!!!!!!!!!!

Sandra has given me the best color and cut of anyone at the dog park!. I met Sandra almost 12 years ago when she first moved into Austin; she was working under my existing hairdresser at the time, and quickly she showed amazing talents in working with color. Shortly, I began making my appointments with her, and have made an appointment every 30 days over the past 12 years with the exception of 3 years when I had moved out of town. She too has a knack of picking up on your lifestyle, your daily comings and goings, and can really tailor your cut and color to fit whatever is going on in your life at that time. As I moved out of the corporate arena into the pet sitter service, I wanted my hair to become effortless and fun - well, Sandra to the rescue. Now in a short, highlighted style, I have the best color and cut of anyone at the dog park! Thanks Sandra, you're the best. I would recommend Sandra to anyone who needs a fresh and fun look.

Rick Hodge-my favorite new stylist. I recently decided to make a change to my hair style after 12 years of having LONG parted down the middle hair. I have naturally curly hair; not wavy but curly, like spiral curly hair and I would straighten it with a ceramic flat iron at least 3 to 4 times a week. As you can imagine, my hair was constantly fried at the ends. I had stopped seeing my stylist of 4 years because she moved to another city and so I was on lookout for someone new. I had gone to several stylists that friends recommended and although they did a decent job trimming my hair; I never found someone that I wanted to see again. Then I met Rick. I had never been to Bob salon but read the reviews on here so I decided to give it a shot. I told him that, although I LOVED my long hair, I felt it was time for a change. I was worried I would hate having short hair (and to me shoulder length is short) and that it would look horrible on me. Rick explained that I didn't have to do a boring bob and that by cutting off all the dead hair I could start growing it out in a healthier way. He cut 5 inches off the first time and 3 more the second time and not only did I love it but everyone else seemed to also. :) Rick told me he could do a chemical straightening on my hair that wouldn't be damaging and would alleviate me having to straighten it so much thus preventing the ends from getting so fried. I don't know how he did it but my once spiral curly hair is now super straight. I can let it air dry and not have it frizzed out all over the place and styling it takes less than half the time it used to. I love my new look and I love my new stylist Rick!!!

Fabulous Wedding Hairdos!. My stylist at BOB is Mark Thomas (who is wonderful). When I asked him about doing my hair for my wedding he reccommended Kate Hicks, since he doesn't do weddings. Kate was an excellent choice. We had our trial run...with the updo...and then I changed my mind and decided to do clip in hair extentions. Kate told me where and what to get. On my wedding day, she was amazing...not only with my hair (first go round with the clip in extentions) but with 3 other heads of hair. In mere moments she did different styles on each of my sisters and my niece. Everyone looked wonderful and loved their new look. ... and I will say the groom was speechless when he saw my transformation. A simple "you are stunning" was all he could manage! <grin> Thank you Kate for a wonderful beginning to my special day.

Rick thanks for working miracles with what i have :). As a guy with thinning and receding hair, i thought for the longest time that my only option was just to take a pair of clippers to it once every two weeks. With persistance, Rick somehow convinced me that i should grow my hair out.

i was hesitant because i remembered what it looked like before i started just taking clippers to it. i have several cowlicks and every-time i got it cut at a salon, hair would be sticking every which direction. so my solution (out of frustration) was to just mow it.

but rick was able to cut it (without clippers) and somehow leave me with three times the length, looking fuller and without all without the cowlicks showing. we are probably on about 6 cuts now and I LOVE how it looks. Little did i know that i was just getting bad cuts in the past. And...NOW...hes introduce me to color....i would have never gone out and gotten color on my own. but now that i have had color, im addicted. awesome color selection. Rick, i know you're gonna do awesome at bob. ill definately be back for more!
