Tips for Pro-Care Spine & Medical Center

Watch your wallet. When in excruciating pain you’ll be asked if you have any money even if you have awesome insurance and are asked to sign a financial agreement for treatment you haven’t received. I was told if I went back after they finished their terms of the agreement I could only get injections in my back! Then I got billed many months later with the threat interest would be added if not paid immediately. Then two years after not being able to compromise with them on the charges for their therapy you have to do in order to get the necessary adjustments I got sued! I had to argue with them constantly that I could do these simple stretching exercises at home and I wouldn't have to miss work, but in order for them to charge my insurance and charge me the copayment there were huge charges for this.

For your own sake don’t get mislead and mistreated.

I have tried to alter this statement according to my legal assistance since I have the right of speech as I am being threatened to be sued again for libel by these people. I have been treated all my life for scoliosis and have never run into anything like this problem and it sure was not a charge of over 4,000.00 for a couple of months of treatments.

Terrible business practices. Looks like others have had the same problem as me. I'll start with the first visit. First off, they coincidentally developed a treatment plan for me that included the exact number of visits my insurer would pay for. I guess it was just dumb luck that I needed exactly 30 treatments, the max my insurer covered. On my first visit I was bullied into buying a dietary supplement directly from the office. I didn't want it and it doesn't work. There went $20. When I came back for treatment it was mediocre and didn't include any massage therapy like a lot of places. Then they screwed up my next appointment, cancelling it at the last minute and rescheduling me. When I showed up for the next appointment they didn't have me on the schedule. It was a mess and I decided not to go back. Then the real problems began. I started getting bills for hundreds of dollars and for a date which I didn't even visit their office. NO doctor has EVER had an issue billing my excellent insurance policy. Somehow ProCare did. It's been over a year now and this mess is still not sorted out. I would never recommend ProCare.

Large bill shows up over a year later.... Started out decent.. they explained billing (the office manager sat me down and seemed to have everything neatly printed out, set and took time to explain our insurance coverage).. Our insurance is actually pretty darned good and provides us much coverage. Never have we had issues with our insurance just refusing to pay large amounts for any medical treatment. Long story short- After over a year I get a bill for hundreds of dollars for a services rendered there. Just- really? Like a year and a half went by after I was sat down, told point blank my insurance would indeed cover said procedures. I remember being astounded and then asking 'are you sure?' several times to make sure this exact thing did not happen to us. And guess what? It *did*. I feel like one of two things happened: either a bait and switch happened or someone messed up and did not call and check with the insurance company before I was told this would all be covered. I feel very disappointed, upset and honestly turned off by this. It seems shady and even if it was an 'honest' mistake it is one that should not have been made on such a large scale before sitting down with a patient and even handing out several pages of typed info making it all seem that much more official. I'm annoyed I threw it away since so much time had passed I assumed i did not need it anymore. I learned my lesson keep the paperwork.

Dis-honest and poor business practice. I called them they said they accepted my insurance and after two visits, told me they did not accept my insurance. My insurance would have paid 80%, now they stuck me with paying the whole thing. WIll not recommend this place to anyone.

Better Golf Swing. Dr. Jones helped with my lower back pain through physical therapy- strengthening of muscles; alignments; table for stretching.

I suffered mild pain for years; severe back pain for 2-3 weeks; inability to sleep with out pain; inactivity.

Pro-Care Spine and Medical Center has definitely helped me by becoming more active- better golf swing- better golf game.

Relief from "Constant" Pain. I had constant pain in lower back and left thigh; Spinal Decompression made the pain go away in both the back and thigh. I suffered for 20 years, I could not exercise, stand up for long periods of time and I had trouble tying my shoes.

No doubt, Pro-Care Spine has given me a lot of relief from "constant" pain. My wife and I are so happy to do the simple things in life without pain.

I should have come here first!. I was helping my wife cleaning the house and from no-where I started experiencing extreme lower back pain and extreme pain in my left leg. It didn't go away for two weeks. I visited some other doctor in the medical area here in San Antonio and it didn't work; they just prescribed a bunch of pills for me. Having witnessed what Dr. Boeking did for my neighbor, I went to him. Within less than three weeks I was no longer eating pain pills, and within a month,I was feeling close to normal. I highly recommend Dr. B! I should have gone to him much sooner!
