Maybe your mom just wants to relax on Mother's Day. Milk + Honey Day Spa is the perfect spot to spoil her rotten with a facial or massage, or even a mani-pedi might hit the spot.

Full service spa in the middle of downtown. Come here to get pampered and relax, then check out the 2nd street shopping district afterwards.

You'll drop some dough on Milk + Honey's signature facial, but you'll leave looking like a million bucks. Mine involved a couple of peels, both of which made my skin tingle -- but the compliments I got afterward? More than made up for it.
These guys are not smart and do not understand enough about the business and how to obtain customers in Austin. Are you interested in burn and churn or retaining clients? I sent my resume in for a manager position and I was treated like cattle and not even granted an interview even when I have owned my own successful salon in Westlake for eight years. They know nothing about customer service and do not even care to get to know people in this very small town who know the industry. If they did they would understand that even the people you diss for an interview are potential customers. They should hire me as a consultant because they think they know it all but they don't. If you want a Tabatha type to come in and straighten you out then contact me.
NOT a SPA Experience.
I would not recommend this spa to anyone. Not only is it uninviting but it is poorly designed and no Zen or relaxation. You felt like you were being put through a machine. The message was poor at best and facial was rough, do not even waste your money on a manicure and beware at the end of the facial they slather honey across your lips, just weird.
The changing room was inadequate and uncomfortable, NO space.
While waiting for any of my services, area reserved for clients had staff and other clients criss-crossing back and forth through the room not relaxing at all, furniture was uncomfortable. There were a lot of men that were not getting services and or staff that were walking around and makes you feel uncomfortable.
Noise from the hallway was pretty obvious, as well as the staff coming and going from there break room which is right in the middle of the lack there of relaxation area.
The entire massage I heard doors being slid open and closed and dishes being washed. Music came from cheesy, portable speakers that just didn't cut it.
If you are trying to do a Spa day with the girls, you all will be let down.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Pros: NONE
Cons: Everything

Brides don't get happier than this. Milk & Honey is a top-notch salon that provided excellent services to myself and my wedding party on the day of my recent wedding. I would highly recommend them generally to anyone. Consuelo did my wedding hair and makeup which I absolutely adored. I could not possibly have imagined how beautiful my hair would turn out. Everything was so much better than I could have expected.
Great Spa and Fabulous Haircut experience.
The 2 hour massage is a dream....they had to pick me up with a spatula! That is how relax I felt. From the welcoming athmosphere to the professionalism of the masseuse everything is world class.
Robin my hairdresser is great and I look forward to my appointment ad glass of wine every 6 weeks!
Not Bad.
Pros: Decent massage, decent facial, nice facilities, facialist gave me a free sample and free ultra sonic upgrade, facialist and masssuse were both very nice. Like being able to choose between different scents of body oils, butter, and lotions before massage. Friendly people and a relaxing, tasteful environment.
Cons: Had to wait a long time between treatments, facial was good but a little rough. I've had better facials and better massages (I've had a lot bc I am a spa junkie) but these were by no means bad. Parking was a pain in the rear for the downtown location. Not a big fan of the manis/pedis here (over priced and uncomfortable).
Overrall: Good spa and will be returning!
Perfect Relaxation!.
After several visits to Milk & Honey's Hill Country Galleria store, I must admit, they are superior in customer service, friendliness, and best of all, spa services.
Randy (my masseuse) and Amanda (my hairdresser) are absolutely two of the best professionals I've had the pleasure of calling my own.
The front desk is ALWAYS helpful, considerate, and accomodating. Best of all, they treat everyone as a VIP both before (when you look awful!) and afterwards (when you look and feel your best).
My Favorite Day Spa in Austin, Hands Down.
I've lived in Los Angeles and Chicago, I'm a total spa junkie, and I can say that milk + honey is the only day spa in Austin that is worth my repeat business.
Best of all are their employees. I have had several massages there and a facial and I have enjoyed all of my treatments. My therapists have been very attentive and crafted their treatments to my needs. I personally haven't felt sales pressure.
I'm also a huge fan of their aesthetic. No cheesy new age spa cliches or mom-spa decor that would have looked good in 1985. Modern and clean lines. I love that they have a locker room and a relaxation room.
The downside of milk + honey is that it is often hard to get a treatment booked because they are quite busy. But, I suppose that's better than a place that always has room on its books, no?
Citysearch Editorial Review. Nestled in Austin's trendy Second Street District, this urban day spa manages to be serene while still harkening to its metropolitan roots. The warm-toned, minimalist decor in the reception lounge belies the volume of body, skin and nail options. A back buff, to cleanse athletes' pores, is a highlight of a line of men's services. Professional and stylish patrons zip in and out, but the downtown bustle doesn't interfere with the rejuvenating treatments.
