A ramshackle BBQ joint that made a cameo on "Friday Night Lights," Ray's obviously knows meat, but I'm adding it to the soul food list for it's "Soul Food Thursdays" weekly special, offering oxtails, breaded pork chops, fried chicken legs, and other delicacies for the Southern carnivores among us.

TPWD Lunch spot for sure.... The BBQ is great and the daily special fits my budget perfectly. Ray's is what you want if you are looking for a good place to get lunch on a time crunch? Try it for your self you won't regret the decision.

Great BBQ!. I loved the brisket, ribs and chicken. Served all at a party and there were very little leftovers. Plus Ray is really a nice guy.

mmmmmm. m, m, good! tender ribs, good ole collard greens, friend had the beef tips as the thursday special, portion was small along with her rice and sweet potato, but she said it was still yummy, will def go back

most tasty-tender bbq cooked to perfection & truly delicious soul food. Every bite of brisket is tender and full of flavor, sausage has been smoked over flames and cleary not boiled, and the ribs are rib tickling good. The soul food is from Big Mama's kitchen. These recipes need to be shared across the city.
