Better than expected. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. It had a bar area, plus a small restaurant on site with a Starbucks - big plus for me!

The room and bathroom were VERY small, but the bed and pillows were comfy, and the price was very good - if you call they offer discounts for SAMS club members.

It wasn't in downtown, which we originally wanted, but the drive wasn't that bad, and for less than half the price of the others, it was worth it.

Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Four stars? Really? Really?. I chose this hotel based on the reviews. And while the room and service were adequate, and I have no issues or complaints this if far from a four star hotel. Three would be pushing the envelope.

If you are a truck driver or a traveling knife sales man I could see where you might hit the fouth star, but putting high end light fixtures in a thirty year old Best Western doesn't get you to 4+ stars in my book. Jeez, shampooing the carpet wouldn't hurt.

Great Place to Stay in Austin. We stayed here for a family wedding. The rooms were great as was the customer service. Loved having the onsite restuarant and the no smoking.

Relaxing, Clean and Comfortable. I just stayed at the Wyndam for the first time on business last week. I was pleasantly surprised and will return. The staff was friendly and informative. The rooms were spotless and the bed provided two nights of peaceful sleep. The breakfast bar had the essentials- cereal, yogurt, bagels, eggs and omlettes to order and very good coffee. The wait staff was very kind and helplful with questions I had. BTW, the hotel is decorated with musicans who have played in the Austin area- you could spend 1/2 a day just looking at the pictures and reading the captions. Very nice touch to the ambiance. I'll be back.

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Modern hotel just minutes from downtown offering an on-site restaurant, event facilities and 210 large rooms that include large bathrooms and free Wi-Fi.

Wow! Amazing customer service--- and a good shower too!. I was VERY impressed with my stay at Wyndham Garden. First of all they have a free airport shuttle, which I love, the food in the restaurant/room service is delish, and the location is a very short cab ride to 6th street so it's convienent yet affordable. The hotel is not super fancy, but still very cute (recently remodled I believe) with it's Austin Musician Themed halls, and extreamely comfortable---the beds are super fluffy and covered with so many pillows you just want to dive in and take a long nap! The little soaps & shampoos are Bath & Body works brand, and were a great little luxury at the end of a long day. In true Austin eco-fashion, the hotel is also very "green." They have a really cool way of keeping energy-efficient that you will just have to see for yourself... BUT the best thing about my stay was how accomodating the staff was...I spoke to one of the receptionists to ask directions to a drugstore, she checked the shuttle calandar (to make sure there were no guests checking out) and then actually brought the hotel shuttle around and drove me to run my errand! I have never had a hotel offer that before, and though we were gone less than 20 minutes, it made a huge impression on me! You could go to a holiday inn and sleep fine, but for just a little more money, Wyndam gives a much nicer experience and a LOT more value!!

You get 8 pillows!. What a great hotel! great price, great service and nice rooms. The beds had fluffy bedding and so many different kinds of pillows from firm to super soft feather that I had a hard time deciding which one to pick. What a great idea! I always think pillows are too hard in a hotel and they nipped it before I even had an opportunity to think that. The location of this business hotel was right off of 35 and 5 min from downtown. The management was around walking the lobby area at all times, so very accessible if you needed anything and the hotel over all was very nice. The decor in the lobby is Austin Western and the restaurant has the biggest chairs to sit in I have ever seen in a restaurant on a hotel, actually in any restaurant. The waitress that served me was very nice and efficient as well. They have nice buffet Breakfast, lunch and dinner at a reasonable price or you can order off the menu. I snacked on the tortilla chips and salsa and I think they made both from scratch, they were that fresh! All in all quite possibly the best value and experience I have had in a hotel in quite some time. I would highly recommend this place to any kind of traveler. If you are a business hotel seeker or a discount to luxury hotel seeker. This is a happy something for everyone hotel. If I had more than two thumbs I would give them more on the rating :)

Professional, Courteous Staff. The Wyndham Garden Hotel underwent some major changes and renovations since the last time I visited and the results are impressive. The facility is clean, comfortable, and convenient. However, I think the thing that makes it a great hotel is the staff. They were extremely helpful and accomodating and ensured that I had everything I needed. I'd highly recommend the hotel for business travelers because of its location. It's near the airport, near downtown Austin, and less than 10 minutes away from some great shopping and restaurants on South Congress. Overall a great hotel for the price!

Comfortable Conference Room. I've spent the past two days in the conference room of the Wyndham Garden Hotel for a business meeting and have nothing but great things to say. The staff was very helpful in assisting my group with anything we needed, whether it was the need for more water and tea or a finding a speaker phone to conduct a conference call. Each staff member I came in contact with greeted me with a smile and asked if there was anything I needed. The conference room itself was very comfortable. Even with 13 people in the room we had plenty of room. The chairs in the room were fabulous! Sitting for 8 hours can get tiring, but not when you?re sitting in the office chairs at the Wyndham Garden Hotel! They were over-sized soft leather chairs with padded armrests and headrests. I was pleased with the hotel as a whole and although I was not an overnight guest I overheard others commenting on the newly remodeled rooms. If you are seeking a place to hold a conference or business meeting I recommend looking into what this place has to offer. The group I was with left impressed.
