In Short – A heavy metal tiki bar in Austin's hard rock district, Headhunters is a drop-in for students, tattooed punk rockers and barflys wanting free metal shows and cheap Lone Star beers. Austin's loudest bands turn it up to 11 for weekly theme nights like Slayer Sundays and Metal Mondays on an outdoor and indoor stage. Surprisingly healthy bar food is served in the outdoor smoking section and upstairs, which offers a bird's-eye-view of the outdoor stage.
