Mandola's Italian Market

Mandolas is an Italian market, gelateria, deli and restaurant all in one! The pizza and pasta menu feels very traditional, but nothing disappoints.

Meat lovers, Parma & Pugliese pizzas are awesome. Traditional antipasto (affettati) & a bottle of wine makes a nice, relaxed dinner for two

Stay away from south location. Liked the food and would frequent their establishments on a regular basis. Not anymore and I would recommend anyone who wants to have an enjoyable dinner to find a dinner different location. Mandola's is great if you like to be verbally abused and run over by undisciplined children. The fact that I nicely asked a women to have her children sit down and not run around my table playing chase resulted in her friend yelling from another table that this was a kid friendly place, and told by her husband to f...you and her parents telling me to shut up wasn't enough. The verbal abuse continued by this parents who believe their rude mannered kids should be a blessing to all. This are the people who are obviously targeted by the management. Management was notified and I was told that they really couldn't do anything except move me. Really?? I am asked to move so these rude people could continue their meal. Never again. So have at it if you want an Italian Chuckie Cheese environment.

Best Italian food in place.. In Mandola’s I got the best Italian food in town, been in Italy and i don't feel difference in the food. They serve an excellent lasagna and also great pizzas. If you are planning a trip to Italy to try the food, you could save your plane ticket and just go to Mandola’s. Also they have great selection of Gelatos, Desserts and Wine.

Great Lunch yesterday. I was CRAVING the brushetta so much that i packed up the tribe, and drove 15 minutes out of the way on a SUNDAY!! of course the burshetta was perfect! and I ordered the Roast beef sandwich, excellent. word of advise, this can be shared. it was huge.

my only complaint, was that the appetizer was served and then 2 minutes later so was the meal. Not a deal killer but the table was too small for all that food.

A worthy Italian market. Stumbled on Mandola's visiting from Colorado (I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY of Italian heritage) Didn't eat in but purchased some of their prepared foods. The home made mozzarella was some of the best I have ever had, The eggplant caponata was alao excellent. The semolina bread was good just not the best . Skip the cannollis, they are pretty bad, pasty filling and soggy shells. Will return and sample additional fare.

Ehhh so so. Tried Mandola's and I personally don't see paying that much money to stand in line, order at the counter, sit in a cold atmosphere and not feel every welcome at all. The Gelato was alright but wasn't out of this world.

There are better places to go. I have tried this place a couple of time as well as the new place Trattoria Lisina and these places have to be the worst "Italian" food there is. I have read the other comments and am not sure if these people realize that food should have flavor. I was told that people think that a place is expensive that it is good even if they don?t like it. I am here to tell everybody that just because you pay a lot does not mean that the food is good, it should have flavor no matter how much you pay. This is well over price for what you get. Service is always slow and food tasteless.

Badass Italian Food. I highly recommend eating here. Ask them about their fancy restaurant in Driftwood, it's badass also. I am one picky AustinFoodGirl.
