THE BEST – I can't say enough about Sharon. She is the best colorist Austin has to offer. She is a perfectionist & makes me look like a natural blonde.....at 55 yrs old! Gray? What gray?!? Not only is she the top for her profession, she is the warmest, friendliest, & most patient woman. I feel blessed to not only have her work on my hair, but to also be a friend. Her salon is so cute & bright you don't mind if you're in Sharons chair for a long time. As one of the others in a review mentioned that she hated to share Sharon w/ others, but we call can't help it. She's just the best!
I was thrilled to find Sharon Overstreet. She gave me the best highlight that I have ever had. She really listened to my needs. She is a true professional and in my opinion, the Best Colorist in Austin!
Sharon and Sasha are a great team! – Sharon Overstreet has been my colorist for years, and I was so happy to hear that she now has a hairstylist working with her. I gave Sasha a try and loved her. She gave me a great cut. She,like Sharon is so nice and professional. I am so happy that I can get my hair colored and cut all at Dragonfly Salon.
Great move! – This is the third salon I'm following Sasha to and so far my favorit one:) I really like how cute and quite it is, big windows and pleasant atmosphere. Sasha has always done a very beautiful job on my hair. I've seen her doing some very creative work, not on me though:) I'm more of an old school, the one who likes classic, precise cut and natural looking highlights. Apart of how good my cut and color look, I really appreciate her professionalism and her positive attitude.
Editorial Review – Color specialist offers color corrections, highlights, single process color, perms and waving. Haircuts, makeup application and wedding services also available.
Sharon, Sharon, Sharon - The Best Colorist in the World – I have to say first of all that I am selfish and wanted to keep Sharon to myself, so I was a little dismayed to find her voted best colorist in Austin. Dammit!! Oh, Sharon, you know I'm kidding. I always wish you the best and am so very proud of you. I've been following Sharon around from shop to shop for years. She makes me look spectacular. (Well, as best as I can possibly look at 53.) She listens to my sob stories, and has helped me through cancer, a brain tumor, a gay boyfriend, the death of my husband, family problems and me being flat broke. There is nobody ANYWHERE who can put in highlights that look so natural. She is an angel on earth, and her skills as a colorist can't compare to the genuinely compassionate, wonderful, kind and thoughtful person that she is. I think of her as my friend, not my hairdresser. But let me just tell you all, she is a miracle worker. I walk out feeling beautiful and young. She listens to exactly what you are saying and does what you ask, and will only offer her opinion if you are trying to do something really stupid with your hair. I just wish she would rub my head for an hour every time I see her - she gives an amazing shampoo and massage. She is a genius and I love her madly.
Best Highlights for Dark Hair – I was very nervous about trying to have my hair highlighted again, since the last time I had it done my dark hair turned out orange (not to mention I paid a lot money for it). However, I am definitely a convert to Sharon Overstreet and her ability to place natural, soft highlights on very dark hair. My hair isn't quite black, but it's pretty close. Sharon met with me and discussed what she could do, asked me about what I wanted and what I didn't like about my previous highlights, and made suggestions on what we could do differently. We ended up going with 3 different colors so that the highlights looked more natural, and she used color instead of bleach and toner, which turns my hair to straw. I also like the fact that the color was placed so close to the root, which I previously thought was impossible. My hair looked great to begin with, I never had that color washing down the drain problem, and my hair still looks great, not to mention it doesn't look or feel processed even though I have full highlights. If you want great color, going with someone who just does color is your best bet.
Wonderful Experience! – I read about Sharon in "Austin Monthly Magazine", went to see her,and was extremely pleased. She did wonders with my hair, and it has never looked better! I was impressed with her and her adorable salon. I will recommend her to all my friends.
HAIRCOLOR GODDESS – Sharon is the best person that I have ever had color my hair. She is the only one that can highlight and cover my gray hair all at the same time, and her shampoo and scalp massages are to die for.Her salon is so cute and charming, and she is the nicest person. I highly recommend her to everyone.
The Michelangelo of Hair – I've followed Sharon for almost 10 years now. She's great!! She's a fabulous colorist and in general, a very kind and sweet person. She never pressures her customers and allows enough time to finish what she's doing. I don't think I've ever had to wait for her--she's always running on time. Wouldn't go to anyone else.
