How to Lose a Customer. It was Groupon closeout day when I arrived. They had NO STOCK left. Instead of extending the deadline, allowing for a later size exchange (when they did get stock in) or some other accomodation, they simply said "try to get your money back from Groupon." I will also add that no one greeted me when I entered, although they were Austin-friendly later on (this means friendly in an unfriendly way). I think they were dreading another Groupon customer.

Anyway, this is not how you build clientele (the whole purpose of Groupon). So, instead of earning a local customer, they lost one - and all her friends, Facebookers and coworkers. Just dumb.

jeans that you wont have to replace year after year. the staff of hem is incredible.

i used to be a size 0. i'm now around an 8. i have a one year old and another on the way.

needless to say, trying on the types of jeans i used to feel sexy in now makes me feel remarkably like raw meat wrapped with string in a butcher's window.

it's not a look.

but when you go in to hem, you are given all the attention, honest opinion and guidance you need to find at least that one pair that makes you feel... nice. : )

you know- the one that lifts your sad bottom to the heavens and puts all the inexplicable bulges in their proper places...

at hem, if you notice, they call the members of their staff stylists, not associates... this is precisely for that reason.

they are there to ensure you leave with a clean and flattering look that works for YOU.

who wouldnt want a free fitting with a stylist of their very own?

there is a reason people in hollywood pay jillions of dollars for that treat.

also- the quality you buy at hem is well worth the money.

when i was smaller, i shopped thrift stores and vintage almost exclusively if not for the occasional target or urban outfitters item... and i scoffed at spending over 30 bucks on some jeans...

but we all know that the type of denim you find at those types of stores are cute for about 5 seconds before the fit or cut is passe or the waistband freaks out or the seams start ripping...

this denim well lasts the 5 replacements you would have to buy elsewhere.

the denim is made to conform to you, to become a second skin... your jeans will last and last and get better with time.

i GUARANTEE IT.

now to people who scoff about the return policy- GET OVER IT. it is what it is. the ladies who opened the store did it through honest hard work and their return policy is their prerogative. it's not illegal. it's not crazy. it's not even wrong.

now go put your sexy new jeans on and quit whining.

Best service and selection in central Texas!!!!. Wow! I don't even know where to start.

The service was great. Very helpful and honest at the same time. I was actually told not to get a pair of jeans because they were not flattering enough. Brutally honest! THANK YOU!

The selection. There is not a place in central Texas that has more denim! I am still in ahhh.

A+

I will be back!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do not waste your time at this boutique. Hem employs horribly rude shop girls who "conveniently" forget to tell customers that the returns are for store credit only. I was not told at checkout, nor when I returned the items. I even made a comment to a sales girl about bringing back the jeans that I was unsure about and she still didn't think that was the right time to inform me. Two weeks returning 2 of the 6 pairs of jeans I purchased, I still had not received the money back on my card and thereforeI called Hem to inquire. I was received by the rudest, most sarcastic, employee who proceeded to speak to me like I was a 5 year old and tell me that she was 100% that I had been told. She wouldn't listen to me, or take into consideration that some person at the store made a mistake. I will never go back to HEM. I don't need to be treated poorly by some 22 year old girl who works at a jean shop.

LOVE HEM!!. I love this store!! And I love Tisha and Aimee! They are the best! I am pretty curvy and all the jeans I owned weren't doing anything for my figure. I knew designer jeans were more expensive, and so I decided that before purchasing any I was going to do my research. I found several pair I thought I would like online, but knew I needed to try them on. I had heard good things about Hem, but that the denim was expensive. I went in just to try on the jeans I had found online, but I was pleasantly surprised when all the jeans I liked were the same price or lower!! The girls gave me so much attention, made me feel so good about myself even though I am not the smallest size, and didn't even try to get me to buy the more expensive of the two I was choosing between. I can't imagine being that happy with a pair of jeans I got online. They have a customer for life!!

Jeans for tall guys!!. I?m a size 36/36 and usually have the hardest time finding jeans that are long enough. I heard Hem had a great reputation for having a wide selection and wanted to check it out. My apprehension was quickly put to ease when I stepped into a dressing room with at least 5 or 6 pairs of jeans to choose from. I was so relieved to put on a pair of great fitting jeans that were plenty long. I was impressed with the honest sales approach and customer service from the person who helped me. I?m a busy guy with a full schedule ? I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. I?ll ABSOLUTLY be back! For all of you other tall men out there?say goodbye to the BIG/TALL stores, we finally get to shop with everyone else.

Best Sale EVER! I can finally afford designer jeans.... For all of you who don't know about the Hem Anniversary Sale...you have to go! I thought it was an urban myth buying a pair of designer jeans for as low as $25. But the proof is in the pudding....Woo Hoo! I love all of my new jeans I bought at the Hem sale. It's VERY crowded and crazy. If you are thinking of going next year come early and reap the rewards! I think it happens the same time every year. I found out through a friend, but he said if you go to hemjeanscom you can sign up to be notified of all their events. I LOVE HEM for hooking me up!

Rigid and Unrealistic Return Policy. I recently bought a pair of jeans at Hem, and I was relatively pleased with the friendly and helpful salespeople. Who doesn?t want to hear that their butt looks cute in a pair of jeans after all? However, when I left the store I came down with a case of major buyer?s remorse - I had no business splurging on the jeans! I walked back into the store about 30 minutes later, and they refused to take my jeans back for anything other than store credit! Now don?t get me wrong, I know they don?t want girls buying jeans, wearing them a time or two, and then trying to return them, I get that. But do they honestly think that I wore the jeans to a 29 minute soiree and then brought them back? Come on now. I think it was totally unreasonable not to give me my money back. I feel compelled to tell as many of you as I can that even though I then contacted the owner with my concern, they still said NO. I personally would rather shop at Nordstrom?s or another boutique where they value the customer and their experience more than they value making a buck.

Best service ever!!. I had passed by Hem several times before I got the courage to go inside. It seemed scary to walk in with my Old Navy jeans and ask for assistance when I didn't even know what size I wore. All I did know was that I've been wasting money on ugly cheap jeans that never last or fit right for very long. As soon as I walked in, there were only 2 employees working but both greeted me sincerely. One of them gave me 100% of her attention and had me try on 13 pairs until I found my Dream Jeans. She knew that I was only there to buy one pair, but wanted to make sure that it was the best one they had for me. There were a couple pairs that I thought looked alright (to me) but she axed them fast and explained what it was about them that wasn't the right fit for me. I'm extremely shy but the staff made me feel so comfortable. I love my jeans and will NEVER go anywhere else again!

Love the Service - Hem has it all!. I was at a holiday party and a friend of mine had on an awesome pair of jeans. I asked where she got them, and she said I had to go to Hem. Everything she said was true! Right when I walked in the door the staff asked if they could help me find a pair of jeans. They made me feel extremely at ease and asked me what I was comfortable wearing. In minutes, I was in a dressing room and every pair of jeans I tried on looked awesome! I'm 32 with two kids - let's just say, I'm still trying to get off my baby weight. They put me in jeans that were age appropriate, but still made me feel like I wasn't wearing mom jeans. I love my new jeans. Thank you Hem for making this mom of two feel great!!!
