Complete 180!! :(. what happened to this place it use to be fantastic! Not worth the trip from austin as it once was. Over priced for the quality of food you get and the service, either overbearing or just completly lack luster. Versus a litte over a year ago when i first went the quality was superb and service was spot on and not to metion such a creative wine list, now with its cheap wines and overpriced menu I wouldnt recommend it anymore. So sad.....

Most tender Ribeye. I wanted to surprise my wife of 47 years, with something romantic. We like to try new restaurants. I feel I am an expert on steaks and it is hard to find a restaurant that can fix steaks better than I can. I have found so far only 2 in Texas. I have found one Okla., 1 in Nev., 1 in Canada, and 1 in Calif. I have been in 42 of the lower 48 states. Cedar Grove Steakhouse is number 1 and is well worth the drive. It was very relaxing, great service, and the tenderest and mouth watering rib eye I had ever ate and I have ate a bunch. The desert, which I can't pronouce let alone spell, was out of this world. We will be going back. I can't say enough about the staff and how we were treated as well as the food. If you don't try them, you don't know what you are missing.
