Austin >Groomingdale's Of Austin
Loved the first time there.
The first time I called and nobody answered, I left a voicemail and nobody got back to me within a week. However, once I called back and got a hold of somebody on the phone I was able to book an appointment for a week later. I chose a busy season (early spring) but I would recommend booking early, they seem to fill up 5-6 days in advance. However, they are open saturdays and have a good drop off policy.
This was my dog's first time being groomed so she was shaggy and I was worried she would be scared. However she seemed very happy when I picked her up and she looked GREAT. They asked me for specifics and did a good job meeting my requests. The price was moderate, definitely worth it for the good service. I would definitely bring my dog back.
This salon is unlike any other place we have ever had our pets groomed. The place is clean, smells fantastic, and the personnel are so friendly and know just what to ask for them to give us a perfect haircut. Not everyone that has groomed our dogs (soft wheaten terriers) knew what they were doing, but the kids came home from GOA, not only beautiful and properly groomed, but very happy.
Now I know why so many people said Groomingdales is the place to go. We are so grateful that we found a place that treats our "kids" as though they were their own.
You guys are great!!!!
Dyanne and Tim
We love you guys!.
Tomay and Paige have been grooming my pet for many years, and we have always been so happy with the care given our little one. The staff is caring and concerned, and most importantly our pet just LOVES to come here!
The shop itself is comfortable and clean. We would never even consider ever going anywhere else.
We love you guys!
Groomingdale's is really great. After nearly a year with Groomingdale's, I want to say that I would never want to take my dog anywhere else! I have a very shy 8 lb toy poodle and she doesn't mind going at all. They are so careful with her and she always comes home beautifully groomed and without a nick or cut. They are the best pup salon that I have ever encountered. Kudos for their excellent customer care and personal attention to my dog's personality and needs.
ehhh. I brought my brussels griffon here to be groomed for the first time last november and I wasn't really impressed. Daphne, my brussels, was about 10 months old so her hair was gettin' a little scraggly and matted. I admit, I wasn't taking much care of her hair. They were kind at the desk and asked me how I wanted her hair cut. I just told them to trim her down to get rid of the matted parts but I wanted to keep her beard. Let's face it, that's what makes the brussels breed unique! So they call me a couple of hours later to tell me she's ready. When I picked her up i was stunned...she had been shaved down but all her hair on her head was still the same length....she kinda looked like a lion! I came to the conclusion that they didn't have much experience in grooming the brussels breed. They were very friendly and nice to squeeze us in last minute, that's why I gave them 3 stars.
The experience here was GREAT. Rufus and I are from Houston and we came to Austin because of Hurricane IKE. He needed a bath very badly. I googled dog groomers in Austin, Texas and Groomingdale's had the most and best reviews. He was beautiful when I picked him up and smelled and looked like a long hair SHIH TZU was suppose to look like, (A KING)
Thanks so much for the great bath and grooming.
Great Service. Finding a groomer or dog day care that cares more about the dog than money is hard. I have been here several times and I can truly say that they love animals. They are very fast and super sweet.
Wow! I am so impressed with Groomingdale's service: I have a rescued
American Eskimo Dog who has had a rough road to travel. Sedna has one eye (that barely works) and she doesn't hear well. She suffered cigarette burns and harsh beatings at the hands of her previous owner. In addition, she has congestive heart disease and is elderly. Basically, she has lots of reasons to be a defensive, nasty dog - but she is a total sweetheart.
I was wary of taking her to a groomer because of her past abuse - I was afraid that a bad experience would make her grooming-shy or worse. Given how much she sheds, how thick her coat is and how dang hot it
is, she needs to be groomed pretty often. I explained Sedna's past to Tomay when I dropped her off at Groomingdale's. Tomay listened intently, reassured me and sent me on my way. I have to admit that I was
nervous for my baby all day despite the great first impression Tomay gave.
I was THRILLED when I picked up Sedna: Tony explained how she did with the grooming, that she was a bit nervous but eventually settled into the experience. When I saw Sedna, I hardly recognized her, she was shiny, fluffy and gorgeous. Better yet, Sedna was calm and mellow.
The fee was reasonable AND the experience was priceless. Thank you Tomay, Tony et al: You will see Sedna again and I'll bring in the rest of my pack (I have three other dogs).
Editorial Review. Groomingdale's of Austin takes care of your furry friend by offering grooming services, baths, FURminator shed treatments, ear cleaning and more.
Great Experience!. Groomingdals did an AWESOME job on my dog. After Pet smart on Balcones in Austin completely destroyed my dogs face and placed him in the hospital I was worried about taking him to a new groomer. They took their time on him and didn?t butcher him. They were one on one with both my dog and me. I really recommend trusting Groomindals with your pet.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to restore you and your pets' faith in grooming! We will look forward to seeing you both again soon!
