What a pleasure it has been working with Malcolm Brown designing a ring for my wife for our 35th wedding anniversary.

After some false starts it became obvious that we should include my wife in the process.

We had no idea what a fruitful and enjoyable process that would be.

We started with the idea of a simple traditional diamond ring. That evolved into integrating her previous ring into a composite design. The final ring includes 8 marquise-cut diamonds creatively tucked around a beautiful new oval-cut center diamond. The marquise diamonds are meaningful relative to the age and birth order of our two granddaughters.

Thus the final product is far from being “just a ring” but rather a significant and meaningful heirloom that will be greatly treasured and passed down through generations.

All of this was possible due to Malcolm’s vast experience, creativity and artistic talents.

Everyone, from the design team, family and friends, including our insurance agent declared it the most the beautiful and unique ring they had seen.

We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice of Villarreal, the design process or the final result.

I am a pretty meticulous individual who likes to be prepared ahead of time, whenever possible. Given the importance of finding an engagement ring, I started early compiling advice from trusted sources and reading up on the "c"s and so forth. Before I set out to shop around, I happened upon Joseph at a mixer. I mentioned that I was on a mission and, given his background, I expected a sales pitch. Rather, Joseph said I should do my due diligence to my satisfaction and then come and see him. I thought it strange because I figured I might end up finding a good deal somewhere else, and he would never see me again. Well, that was all he said. The next time I communicated with Joseph was when I called him to set up an appointment after I had shopped around (and I avoided the retail stores because, as I mentioned earlier, I was prepared).

The value for me in working with Joseph and Malcolm was (1) the best prices I could find despite thorough research and having an international contact; (2) two well-versed professionals in their area that didn't have any limits to ensuring that my experience was pleasant and that they delivered top-notch customer service; and (3) the knowledge they shared which made me a very smart shopper and avoid the pit-falls inherent in shopping for a diamond.

I am confident that I will stay in touch with the professionals at Villarreal Fine Jewelers. I have since raved about VFJ to my closest friends and family because I do not want them to have anything less than the best out there when their time comes. I never, in my wildest imagination, expected to enjoy the process of shopping for an engagement ring as much as I did.

GREAT Quality, Value and Attention to Detail. Repeat Customer

They did it again! I was looking for a diamond pendant for my wife for our anniversary and returned to Villarreal Fine Jewelers. I had looked for a particular diamond pendant at other jewelry stores and could not find exactly what I wanted. I sat down with Joseph and we crafted the perfect pendant. My wife was thrilled with the results. Attention to detail, catering to the customer’s needs and reasonable pricing is what you want and what you get at Villarreal Fine Jewelers. Joseph Villarreal is a consummate professional. He takes his time to understand just what you need and what your are looking for in jewelry. Margaret and i selected her engagement diamond and Joe designed a outstanding setting for her. Later we selected wedding bands and were not disappointed by the exceptional value he provided. A few years past and we needed to have her pearls restrung . He designed her new necklace and some bracelets that were just perfect. Villarreal Jewelers ROCKS!!!. My fiance surprised me with the engagement ring he'd been working on with you and I can't begin to tell you how beautiful it is or how blown away I am. You and your team did a STELLAR job!! It's absolutely stunning and of course, given the man who gave it to me, I am incredibly honored and proud to wear it. And I have literally had people stop me on the street to gawk at it!

I'm sure you deal with couples all the time who are on their second go-round (and maybe more!), but it's a "first", so to speak, for us, so thank you so much for making the start of it so special.

My fiance surprised me with a beautiful custom made engagement ring from Villarreal Fine Jewelers - it couldn't be more perfect! The ring even came with a book showing the different steps involved in making it. We recently went in to choose our wedding bands and Joseph makes it such an easy process. We will never go back to a jewelry store after having the experience of a custom jeweler.

After searching for months and months for the perfect place to have my future fiance's engagement ring made, I finally came across a long list of positive reviews for VFJ and decided it was worth a shot!

I had a long list of needs and extremely high expectations and to say that Joseph and Malcolm met and exceeded them all is an understatement. As soon as I met them I knew that this jeweler was "the one," and thats a great feeling to get when you're making such a big purchase!

Malcolm is so incredibly kind and a very talented artist, I knew my ring concept was in great hands. I was able to provide pictures of ideas I liked, meet with him about diamond choices and he always had my hopes AND budget in mind. Never once did I feel compelled to spend more than I had originally planned, and they really went to bat for me to negotiate a great price on the perfect diamond.

After two rounds of Computer-Assisted-Design (CAD) reviews (where I was allowed to make a few slight changes- love that feeling of control!) we felt the ring was ready to be made. 3 weeks later it was in my hand and I am not joking, I almost cried it was so beautiful. I wanted to run home and pop the question right then.

I cannot believe how fun the process of buying an engagement ring was at Villarreal, and working with Malcolm to have this one of a kind ring made for my girlfriend was truly an unimaginable experience. I will be proposing in January and cannot wait to give her this amazing ring.

Joseph is a great help when it comes to designing an engagement ring.

I went to see Joseph on a recommendation from my friend. I had had no prior knowledge whatsoever about rings so I was a little nervous. As I told him that, Joseph took me through all the basics about diamond step by step. As my confident built up, we walked over to his computer and started designing an engagement ring using 3D CAD.

3 weeks later, the ring arrived on time and it looked just fantastic. My fiancee loved it too!

Not only does Joseph understand diamond and ring, his superb service was something that I enjoyed most.

I had a diamond come loose in my engagement ring, but the store my fiance bought it from was a local place in Houston. Living in Austin, we had a hard time getting it there to get it fixed. Most places I checked with in Austin were wanting $50-$80 just to tighten it! Villarreal tightened it for free and even gave it a nice polish, and got it back in 24 hrs. They were personal and friendly too. Thanks for the help-- I really appreciate it!
