World Class Fine Dining in the Heart of Austin's Vibrant Downtown

  • Austin's Premiere Fine Dining
  • Award-Winning Food & Wine
  • Elegant Downtown Location

If you're looking for elegant Modern American cuisine, an award-winning wine list, & the largest selection of scotches in Austin, then look no further than Restaurant Jezebel. Restaurant Jezebel has received numerous accolades & was cited as the best gourmet food in Ruidoso, NM, & now it is in the heart of Downtown Austin. Owner/chef Parind Vora believes that fine dining is about food, wine, courteous service & elegance & does not have to be a rigid or formal affair. To ensure the highest level of quality, Parind prepares every meal himself. Dinner involves soothing candle light, white linen, spectacular food from a kitchen & wine from our temperature & humidity controlled storage. None of the bottles of wine are marked up the normal fine dining markup, allowing you to try wines you wouldn?t normally order. Free parking is available less than 1/3 block away. Reservations are recommended.

Editorial Review for Restaurant Jezebel – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Owner Parind relocated this award-winning restaurant from Ruidoso, N.M., to Congress Avenue in summer 2006. Their intimate establishment offers elaborately arranged meals, accented with foie gras, artisan cheeses, truffles and other specialty sides. The restaurant's white tablecloths and candlelight greet upscale couples, foodies and downtown dwellers. The high-ceiling and urban design touches offset the formality of the table setting and give the small restaurant something of a loft ambiance.

Restaurant Jezebel cannot be passed up! I have never written a review before, but realized that something needs to be said after eating here. The service was perfect, and the food was phenomenal. If you want a quick bite, then this is not the place to go. My family and I eat out very often, and we have come to realize that there is nothing worse than being rushed by a waiter. It is European style service, so they do not bring you your bill until you request it. We spent three wonderful hours here, laughing, and sampling everything in our reach. Our waiter was very friendly, and gave us great wine recommendations. Parind Vora is a master at his work. Each plate was beautifully presented, and tasted divine. The cuisine is quite French, so a person who does not have the palette for fine, exotic, rich, food needs so be prepared. French cuisine is a favorite of mine, and Jezebel happens to be one of the most authentic restaurants a person can go to. This eatery is a new favorite, and needs more notoriety. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

We passed by, liked the menu so we walked in. It was unbelievable. we had a 7 course menu. we were not prepared for course after course or incredible combinations and variety of foods and flavors. they even gave us a cheese course after we had our seven course because we wanted some cheese. It is by any standard, anywhere one of the best meals to be had in Austin. we let them choose the wine. If I could eat there every day I be they would not make us the same thing twice. My boyfriend is from Italy and not easily impressed. we will be back

Pros: great food, service and art

Cons: too many choices on the menu and wine list
