We LOVE Rustic Ridge! We went here for our honeymoon last March (2012) and couldn't have dreamed up a better location! RR is in a remote area with a private pond, ducks, geese (which chase you and are quite aggressive - be careful!), and fish to feed, a fully furnished, cozy cabin, and is a perfect setting for a romantic getaway! The cabin itself was very quaint, the grounds were lovely and well cared for, and Texas Hill Country is simply beautiful! We have nothing but positives to say about Rustic Ridge. Our only suggestion would be to add some mini blinds for the windows! Thanks for providing a great destination for couples wanting a great getaway!

As a follow-up, 9 months later: Rustic Ridge was both my husband and my first B&B. Since then, we've stayed at a few other cabins/B&B, and we are now BLOWN AWAY by how amazing our Rustic Ridge experience was! We loved the place, but now, having experienced other cabins in Texas, we are convinced this place is the best! We hope to come back here for our first anniversary soon! :)

Rustic Ridge. Love this Place!

My husband surprised me with this getaway for my birthday and I've got to say this was the best birthday present. The cabin is wonderful, very cozy and romantic. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and christmas piano music playing in the background. There was also a pretty christmas tree The cabin is very clean, as well as the bathroom and bed sheets. The bed was small for us but, very soft and comfy mattress. we saw some dear on the property early in the morning and the geese were a little aggressive but, warmed up to us. The back windows and back door could use some curtains or shades. We will definately be back. We visited on 12/10/11.

The Best Cabin EVER!. LOL........Thanks to all of the reviews I have read about this cabin. It help the wife and I perpare for this event, but I must say this cabin was very lovely, everything was so clean and neat.Yes, at nigth it is pitch dark, that's because there's no street lights around and yes you do need to bring extra sheets or some type of covering for the windows and back door.The bed was nice and clean and the sheets had no holes in it.The bathroom was nice and clean and the breakfast was good.The bad, there is two geese on the land and they're little aggressive. The land has been kept up very nicely. Yes the wife and I do plan to visit again, and the price is just right, A Big Thanks to the Owners of Rustic Ridge Bed and Breakfast.(2/8 thru 2/10 of 2012)

Cozy, quaint and cluttered.. We have been to many B&B's around Texas so are familiar with how they operate. The setting at Rustic Ridge could not be more perfect. The grounds are lovely and very well tended. The cabin is quaint and cozy. The problem? Every inch of counter/dresser/table space is covered with knick knacks and doo dads. There is no place to set anything you bring with you without moving a bunch of stuff. There is no place to hang anything either. There is a hall tree but it does not work well if you have more than a couple of things on hangers. Lighting is dim inside so reading light is not adequate. There are no coverings on the many windows and doors. While you are out a bit in the country, there are people living nearby and it does not feel comfortable at night - and it is very dark outside. The bedding had holes in it - unacceptable in a B&B at that price. Finally, we had an unavoidable and unexpected emergency when we were originally scheduled to stay. We rescheduled later but the owner kept our original deposit and charged us again. We understand the need for rules about canceling but this was ridiculous and really insensitive.

Cozy, romantic get away. If you are lookng for a cozy romantic get away this is the place your looking for. It's like being in your own little world with the one you love.
