assembly line atmosphere

My granddaughter attends. Class size for the younger girls is way too large to facilitate individual attention.
Regarding the annual performance, I travelled to Kyle to go to one. It was way too long, and I realized as I looked at the program that I was sitting through several numbers with the same 6 or 7 older girls in them in order to see the one my grandchild was in. And the program was very long. The costumes for the younger girls were absolutely precious, but they did not know the choreography. My daughters took dance years ago, and they learned their dance numbers at that age, probably due to more individual attention. One last comment regarding the performance: the theme was "Songs of Michael Jackson"! This is well after it has been established that the man is probably a pedophile. I thought that was a poor choice for theme. There are so many other composers/musicians out there who are positive role models.
As I said, the younger girls' outfits were beautiful.
- Pros: pretty costumes
- Cons: large class size

We Love BLSD along with each of the fabulous ladies who instruct and make our experience warm and welcoming each time we come in. My daughter has been dancing at BLSD for three years now, and we can't imagine being anywhere else. The recital is heartwarming and one of the most professional recitals for young dancers I have known. We hightly recommend stopping in to see for yourself the inspiring atmosphere created at BLSD.

BLSD is a great studio for dancers of all ages and levels. They are well known in the area for being talented, organized, polite and highly respected!
Students who attend BLSD can expect quality dance instruction and cutting edge performances!. I actually found the end of the year recital one of the most, if not the MOST, entertaining performance I've seen from a dance studio. It ran smoothly, and was action packed with energetic and emotional performances from dancers of all ages.
Brooke and her faculty of teachers are wonderful role models for the students, who participate and volunteer at many events in the community. Their dedication and personal relationship with each individual dancer is a testament to the success and growth of BLSD!

brooke lowden's school of dance is an excellent place to learn the art of dance. Its student body regarding ethnicity is soley a reflection of the community in which it serves, and does not in ANY WAY discriminate against gender, age, or ethnicity.
The staff is indeed friendly and knowledgable, helpful and hardworking. Dancers learn technique as well as many important life lessons including confindence, poise, and how to be polite and diplomatic. I would HIGHLY recommend BLSD for anyone who is interested in quality dance instruction.

I didn't even sign my daughter up here because people were staring at us and were not friendly. Now that I read this other review, I know that it was not all just in my head.
