For sushi that's delicious, affordable and yummy, Sushi Niichi is your best bet in Austin. I cannot get enough of the Bento Box lunch special - for less than $10, you get spicy tuna and California rolls, vegetable tempura, soup and salad. The most delicious deal on West Campus!
best sushi i've had.
i crave this place all the time. my favorite rolls are definitely the blue moonlight, the snow white, and the UT rolls. i crave blue moonlight ALL THE TIME. it is so good. please get it. good gyoza too!! there are 8 pieces.
the prices aren't that different then other sushi restaurants. probably cheaper if anything.
I got 4 rolls and gyoza for my dad and I (which was PLENTY, we didn't finish it all) and the total was $43 i think. but thats because i my favorites are the more expensive rolls- there are definitely plenty of rolls under 5 dollars.
Best moderatley priced sushi in town!. This has become my favorite place in town to get sushi. It is reasonable priced and the rolls are fresh and delicous espicially the spicy Mandy which is one of my favorite rolls!!! The staff is very nice even when extremley busy, usually i get it to go but my only complaint is that i would prefer that they get better ginger other than that it's my favorite place in town!!! Great job guys and keep it rollin!
BEST SUSHI!!! GREAT SERVICE!. Highly recommended. I go in this place almost once a week and the food and service is AWESOME!!! These guys are very welcoming and great at rolling some sushi :) If u get a chance you should definitley try and sit at the bar the get the full experience! :) Great sushi, inexpensive, and fun atmosphere!!
just okay....
I am no sushi expert, but I know a few good rolls when I taste it. Happy hour wasn't too bad for students (friend of mine and I went there during happy hour and had 6-7 california rolls for $30). California rolls are probably the best, but it's pretty ordinary. It is pretty expensive, but worth trying once or twice. If you sit at the sushi bar, the chefs can be pretty accommodating. Overall a nice little restaurant, but the quality is not good enough to match their prices.
*friend says that their salmon was pretty below par.
Tragic customer service. I will never be back to this restaurant. After I told the waitress that I was allergic to an ingredient in my role, she told me it could be remade. So they remade it with the ingredient in the middle (instead of on top) of the sushi. I told her I couldn't eat it because I was allergic--she told me she was sorry. Sushi Nishi still made us pay for the 2 toxic rolls! Unbelievable.
great happy hour and convenient location for students. my roommates and i love coming here, it's so conveniently close with awesome happy hour deals. service is usually quick and polite. the calamari and miso soup is particularly delicious here. never a complaint about the sushi itself either.
