Worst Haircut I've Ever Had!. This is the worst haircut I've ever had. Worst experience ever. The lady called me skinny as soon as I walked in the door. At that point I should have walked out. After being choked with the drape thingy and practically abused with the hairbrush I ended up with a cut about three inches shorter than I had asked for. When trying to tell the woman to stop she kept going cutting and combing. My hair is now too short to even have anyone fix. On top of that she charged me for "styling" that amounted to raping my ears with a brush and blow dryer and curling my hair under in a fashion I haven't seen since 1989. After coming home and trying to restyle it appears I'm just screwed. I have never been more grateful to get out of a place. Try anywhere else but here! The chains are cheaper and a billion times better. On the plus side there was no wait. Imagine that.
Great Service and Friendly Atmosphere. A fantastic place to get your hair cut. I consistently get a great haircut and the price is well below that of most if not all salons here in Austin. The owners/stylist's are very friendly, professional, and pay great attention to ensure your hair is cut the way you want it.
Good Service. I have been going to Kim’s for almost 4 years now and have owes had good service she remember how I like my hair and cut. its $10 for a men’s hair cut which is a good price. She is good about working with her customers, never had a bad cut and even offers suggestions on a good look and is vary good about remembering who you are. I have never seen her be rude to a customer and is owes willing to work with you.
Not worth the trouble. I went to Kim Beauty Salon and had the worst experience of my adult life. The woman, as she was coloring my hair, told me she did not like to work on women's hair because women are too picky. The highlights were uneven and turned my hair orange. Certain parts of my hair were bleached white and looked bald against my scalp. The color of the highlights wasn't even an even shade of orange at that. I went back the next day and asked for my money back. The women were quite hostile when I asked for a refund of my money and in denial that they had even done anything wrong. I told the woman who did my hair that she did an terrible job. The owner of the salon promptly told her that she did a great job, and then she told me not to say that to her. And she also mentioned that she won an award for highlighting. They have $10 haircuts for a reason. If your a man and your hair grows back easily then I guess it would be OK to go there. The worst part of the whole experience is when both of the women were shouting as they invaded my personal space and attempted to attack my hair after I had already told them I didn't want them to "fix" my hair. It was an all around terrible experiance, no doughnut is worth it.
