My experience was poor, they are pushing a modified Atkins diet, high protein, low everything else. Further they try to sell you supplements and other food items

Also, my wallet was lost at their office, and not returned.

Great Weightloss Clinic. I wasn't sure about going to a weightloss clinic at first. They offer a free consultation. They go over everything, the costs, plan options and schedule your appointment with the Dr. as soon as possible. I have lost 55 pounds and my goal is 100 in a year. I am right on track!! The staff is supportive and very informative. The products are great. My favorite shake is the Chocolate Mint. My favorite bar is the caramel one. I even have my husband drinking the shakes for breakfast now. If you are ready to lose weight this clinic is what you need. The plan is easy to stick to even if you are on the go alot.

Teach your body the secret of weight loss!. by Nicki 05/02/10

Like many people, I have struggled with my weight for years. I even took the drastic step and had lap band surgery in the summer of 2007. The lap band helped me lose 50 lbs. easily, but then my weight loss stopped and didn't budge for over a year. Finally, someone recommended Dr. Du Pont at Austin Bariatric Clinic. I wish I had known about this clinic BEFORE I had the lap band surgery! Suddenly it is like my body has found the secret to losing weight. I have lost 30 lbs. since I started and I know I will reach my goal, but more importantly, I feel quite confident that I now will have the ability to keep the weight off. Thanks to Dr. Du Pont and her wonderful staff, I feel more positive about myself and love to have people ask how I have lost the weight so that I can recommend her to others.

Austin's Weight Loss Clinic. The Austin Bariatric Clinic is a great one on one weight loss program. Dr. Dupont is very supportive and has had her own weight issues and counsel patients from experience The staff have tried or used all of the shakes and foods that are sold in the office. The staff can suggest which products that they like or don't like. The office is in a scenic business area off of west 2222 and is easy to find. There is plenty of parking available. I would definitely refer friend, family and coworkers to use the Austin's Bariatric Clinic for a structured weight loss program & you don't have to weigh in front of anyone.

Finally !. Ever since hitting my 40s, I've struggled to lose weight and keep it off. It seems my metabolism took a nose dive despite all my efforts - ie, gym 4x per week, walking almost every day, etc. alongwith watching my food intake. Well, I thought I knew what I needed to do until Dr. DuPont walked me through the mystery (maybe not to some) behind carbs!!! Who knew that I would actually get hungrier. Also, while I heard that eating many small meals per day was important to keep your metabolism going, I never put into practice until now. I'm satisfied - not hungry all that often and have lost about 23 lbs since last fall. The only downside, if one could consider this a downside, is that I've had to shop for new clothes !! The entire staff at the Austin Bariatric Clinic are wonderful to work with. I'm thrilled to have found them.

Weight Loss. I'm 51 yrs younger and I've struggle with my weight all my life. When I hit 295 lbs I became determined to loss some of this weight. A friend recommened the Austin Bariatric Clinic and it was any answer to my prays. March 4, 2010 I had my first consultation with DR. Amanda Dupont. This isn't some 15 minute visit to your doctor where they tell to take an asprin and send you home. Dr. Dupont really listen to you, you know she there to help you and all her attention is focus on you. It's was a very emontional time for me but I left that office feeling alot better about myself and my future. My 1st month I lost 23 lbs and the 2nd month has been about 10 lb so far. This was the right solution for me.

It works. Dr. Boehme has helped me lose 35 pounds and keep it off for the last year. Although I would like to lose another 10 pounds and I feel like I have been on a platuea forever, Dr. Boehme continues to encourage me and to remind me how far I have come. There still is no easy solution and you do have to pay attention to what and how much you eat but they give you the tools and the encouragement to finally stop yo-yo-ing and get healthy.. There are no unrealistic Supe Model expectations just normal healthy people helping people. I'll probably never quit!!

What a difference. What a difference this clinic has made to me. I have gained a lot of weight since having my 2 kids. I watched my husband get in better shape and my best friend is in great shape, but meanwhile I kept looking more and more like my mom, who is overweight. I would work out regularly and eat right (or so I thought) until I would get home from work, where I would then blow everything. My job is very stressful and would not come home til 8pm then my family would be in bed in 1hr and would head for the fridge. It was so frustrating and I began to give up I am a nurse and thought I knew it all about eating healthy, but I obviously had more to learn. I saw a coworker that I had not seen in awhile and she had lost so much weight; she recommended this clinic. When I started I thought I couldn't do a diet that cut carbs as that was my weakness, but it wasn't difficult at all. They showed me other alternatives and better ways to eat. They have been very supportive and educational. It has been a real success! In 5 months I have lost 35lbs and on a 4'11" frame thats a lot. I still have a little more to lose and thanks to this clinic I feel like I will make it. I have had so many compliments from my coworkers, friends, and my husband. My clothes are literally falling off, I feel better, and can even workout even better. I haven't even felt like cheating; it has been very easy to pass up the junk food that is always at my work. Thanks Austin Bariatric!!!

Weight Loss. I am a 47 year old woman. My mother, 4 brothers and 4 sisters are all heavy, I thought it was genetic. So when I gained 40 pounds over the past 8 years I was not surprised. I tried every miracle pill, diet, starved myself only to put it back on the moment I ate again. The wake up call for me was February 2009 when my mother weighing 420 pounds was put in the hospital. For three months I saw her fight for her life, her weight and the lack of good health keep from winning that battle.. The day we buried her I was looking around the room at all my bothers and sisters and for the first time in my life I was scared of what my future held, I was headed in the same direction if I didn't make some serious changes in regards to my health. When I got home I saw an ad in the Austin paper for the Austin Bariatric Clinic. I had seen that ad before,but thought that was for really overweight people and not for someone like me that had 40 pounds to lose. This day I didn't care, I made that call and was pleased to find out they help all shapes and sizes. My appointment was with Dr. Teresa Boehm.. On my first visit I learned so much, she set me up on a plan based on me and she didn't laugh at any of the dumb questions I had. One of the things I still remember the most was her saying "if you do exactly what I say, you will lose the weight". And guess what, she was right! I reached my goal, I have lost the 40 pounds and I am now a healthy weight. Making that call was the best choice I have ever made. Without Dr. Boehm I could have never won this battle. Crazy thing, I eat more now than I did before, but the difference is I now know how to make the right choices. It really was not about how much I was eating, it was what I was eating. I guess my metabolism was not broke after all..........and I can live without french fries!!
