Tips for Elite Import Auto Service

December 12, 2012

I have used elite for imports and domestic autos. The biggest thing they offer is that they diagnose the problem correctly and don't add parts or extra work not needed. This is where the real savings is. I fully trust their repairs!

Elite Import Auto is the only place I will take my car. The mechanic tells me exactly what is wrong with my car and what needs to be done to fix it! I appreciate their honesty and no nonsense approach. I recommend Elite Import Auto to all of my friends and family!

Dan (the owner) is my next door neighbor, and as good of a neighbor he is, he's an even better mechanic. My family has been serviced for years and he never fails or disappoints. He's honest and the Elite crew is friendly and caring. I highly recommend Dan's shop to anyone in need. It's an honest place with fair pricing, and they don't try to take you to the cleaners.

Great Work Delivered with Small Company Charm. I own an Audi Q7 and was so frustrated with dealing with Roger Beasley Audi Service Department that I was ready to purchase another vehicle so I wouldn’t have to deal with the dealership anymore.

One of my friends recommended Elite Import Auto Service (a family owned business) to me. He explained that they offered fair pricing, and were very thorough in the way they serviced your vehicle.

My experience with Elite Import Auto Service has been fantastic. Not only do they provide great service, they are also willing to explain exactly what they are doing, why it is necessary and whether or not it really needs to be taken care of now or if the repair can be delayed to a later time. Not once have they tried to pressure me into making a repair that wasn't necessary or before it was needed.

They also provide superb customer service which few companies do now a day. I know this because I run inbound calls and click-to-chat centers with more than 10,000 agents and I am always praying my agents provide this type of service.

Let me share an example of what I believe differentiates them from the rest. A few months back I had to run my car in for a quick check on a brake light. I expected to be charged at least $20 - 40 dollars just because that always happens anytime a technician even looks at your vehicle at most places. When they the finished, I pulled out my wallet to pay and the father-in-law said, "No charge - just bring me a snicker bar next time". That did it for me. Now I will go to them every time I need anything done on my car and refer them to anyone who mentions needing to service their car. FYI - I brought Ed two snicker bars the next time?

Ps. I used this experience as a great example to my team on how providing that little something extra can turn a good customer experience into a GREAT customer experience.

The best thumbs up!. Elite has worked on or diagnosed at least eight vehicles for us over the years: Ford F350 diesel, Chevy 3500 gas, two volvos, an escort, a mercury villager, ford contour, and a saturn. One of the volvos required some unusual work and I wish my son could use him, but he lives too far away. They have always been fair and reasonable with me, and have answered all my questions. On at least two occasions I have seen other mechanics from the neighborhood come over to ask questions. That's the best thumbs up anyone can give a mechanic!

I knew what was wrong with my toyota before taking it in and they were honest about the repairs and cost. I would recommend this shop to anyone. very friendly and honest in an not so honest market.

Flexibility is not on the menu here. If you want to bring your own parts, the Elite team don't allow it. They say, "we do our own diagnosis and decide what parts are needed..." Translated, meaning they want to make money off of the parts too. Which is an old business model. The Service Taker is not the most friendly person either in the garage - makes up stories to clients on the phone in order to get off the phone.

When was the last time you went to your favorite resturaunt and asked the chef to cook the steak you brought in from HEB? I bet that wouldnt go over very well. Do you? Yes we do make a profit on the parts we sell. The cost of doing business require us to make a profit. I guess we could raise our labor rate and let you bring your own parts. What would you say if we installed your part and that part failed right out of the box or 11 months later and we charged you a second time to install another one. It would be my guess that you would be mad at us for wanting to get paid .Do you not believe in a warranty? What about the part that is wrong because you ordered it. Whether its your fault or not we now would have a bay tied up with your car until you get us the right part. We have the parts software to order our own parts and if needed we know the best parts people to talk to when ordering. You just want to cut our profits and tie up our bays.Sorry I cant stay in business without profit

Best place in town. Elite Import Auto is great! I had been going to the dealership for all my repairs, but when they told me I needed a new compressor and that it was going to cost over $1,000, I decided to call around. I ended up talking to Dan(he's the owner), he put an estimate together for me that was about half the price, and that's with all OEM parts. The parts were ordered and a couple days later I dropped my car off. I really liked everyone that worked there, we talked for about 20 minutes before my ride came. I could tell my car was in good hands. Later that day, they called to say my car was ready, and the AC has been going strong ever since.
