Tips for Freebirds World Burrito

Expensive by the time you add guac and sour cream. Meat didn't taste very good..
So I stopped by Freebirds after hearing the radio commercials over and over and over... The atmosphere was so bland I don't really remember much about the place. I went in for a "to go" order for a friend and myself. By the time I had added some guacamole and sour cream it was over $15 for 2 burritos, and we didn't even order a drink to get the total that high. The burritos tasted OK but nothing I would even consider mentioning to friends. I've eaten at taco stands with better flavor and better salsa. My friend and I traded a few bites (my burrito was chicken, his was beef) and we both agreed that the meat was not very flavorful. I guess maranading the meat is not something they consider worthwhile? Overall it was an uneventful burrito experience. The black beans were good. The rice seemed like it had been in the steamer too long. I felt kinda ripped off paying $15 for 2 burritos that were not even the largest size on the menu. If I'm paying $8 for a medium burrito I expect the meats to be tasty and the rice to be soft. My expectations were not met. I guess the expensive burritos I bought will help them buy more radio commercials. They need to cut back the advertising and spend that same money on quality ingredients and some meat marinades.
