LOVE MY STYLEST. This is a fabulous salon! I followed my hair stylist, Rachal a kickass redhead, here and I absolutely love it. Rachal has been doing my hair for about 8 years and I couldn't ask for a better person to be doing my hair! I had never really gotten complements on my hair before she started doing it. Strangers approach me all of the time wanting to know where I get my hair done and who my stylist is! I have actually started carrying her business cards with me to give to people.

I have never met anyone who not only takes more pride in the work she does but also in her own appearance. She is a beautiful woman with an awesomely hilarious personality! I always look forward to getting my hair done by Rachal because not only does she make me laugh and make my day better no matter what but I also know that I am going to leave looking absolutely stunning!

CUT AND COLOR RUINED. THE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!! PERIOD..it was awful..let me start off by saying the hair tech's name was Rachel, TACKY TACKY ( I actually cringed when I saw her ) nondescript redhead, to much bad make up too much saggy cleavage the whole gum slapping , self obsessed , gross hair dresser nightmare we ALL HAVE,

she took me from a fabulous blond to a mousy brown it was AWEFUL!! IT HAS TAKEN 3 TREATMENTS TO RETURN ME TO BLOND $$$$$$$, she was too busy talking about herself and texting on her phone to pay attention to how terribly off the mark she went with color and the cut, the cut was just as unbelievably BAD as the color, not to mention the god awful scalp massage, where YES even then SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT HERSELF.. . NOT RELAXING . ALL OF THIS TOOK OVER 3 HOURS MIND YOU!!! A HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY SHE WAS TERRIBLE!!! WHAT A MESS!!

Kristy is the greatest. The salon itself is lovely & relaxing, and Kristy is wonderful. She's been cutting my hair for 10 years and has seen me and my thick, unruly hair through long (lower back) and short (above my ears). She knows I'm super lazy and won't blowdry or even brush sometimes, and her cuts always work great. She can even cut my hair to avoid the awkward growing-out phase. She did my wedding hair and a couple special occasions and there's never been a bad cut.

tiffany is incredible! make sure you go see her!!. i had a guy friend, of all people, to refer me to tiffany for haircuts. i'd just moved here and was so sad to leave my stylist back home. i have fine/thin hair, but TONS of it, and my hair requires a certain amount of razoring/precision just for it to look remotely okay. after visiting 2 other salons in Austin, and getting charged and arm and a leg for mediocre haircuts, I took my friends advice. I made an appointment with Tiffany- within 3 days I was in her chair. She got a hold of my hair and things haven't been the same since. I am CONSTANTLY stopped by people asking where I have my haircut, and am always giving out her card. She is incredible skilled and is a natural at what she does- she knows exactly what is best for my hair and consistently gives me great hair cuts. she is affordable, honest, entertaining, and easy to get ahold of. my advice, GO SEE TIFFANY for a haircut. i swear you won't regret it.

Shannon is the Best. I have been going to Salon Bloom since I moved to Austin in 2006. Shannon has been the best colorist I've had since leaving the WDC area. She is personable and listens to the needs of her clients. I have never been disappointed in the services I have received and enjoy the close, personal service this salon offers. I've read some of the other remarks on this salon. Trust me, this is a great salon with knowledgeable staff who know how to cut, color and serve their clients.

Great service and atmosphere. I've been getting my hair done by Kristy, the owner, for awhile now and I highly recommend her. It is often hard for me to find a stylist that will actually listen to what I want and fulfill that. Not only does she do a great cut and color, she provides a relaxing atmosphere with comfortable seating while you wait, complimentary wine, and fabulous shampoo massages. They also have a new product line called Kevin Murphy that is really cool and all natural, I love it. Also, for it being downtown, you wouldn't expect to find easy parking, but they have their own lot and i've never had a problem with it. I find it hard to believe that someone would say "don't go there" about Salon Bloom...sounds like someone either had a bad day or a personal problem... I say, GO THERE, ask for Kristy, she's great.

love my bob. I had hair down to my mid back.I am about to go to college so i decided it was time for a change.I decided to donate it to locks of love.I went to the owner of the salon,and i was so nervous,but she sat and listened to what i was going through,and made sure I was ok with my decision.I ended up with a really trendy bob,kinda like victoria beckem's.I get so many compliments with my hair,I should have done this a long time ago,but the best thing is someone gets use of my old hair!

come see for yourself. Wow,I have been going to Salon Bloom for over 3 years now,and not only is the owner a kind and wonderful person,but very attentive to my needs,that's why when I read the review about maintenance being done during working hours and tattoo guys running around I was shocked.I have never experienced that and find it hard to believe that would happen unless there were a serious problem that needed to be fixed at that time.The owner has always made me feel comfortable and welcomed,and she always offers me refreshments and magazines and even lets me use her computer! Bad12 must have been having a bad day? Dont worry,you will be taken care of at salon bloom!

best highlights ever. I am so amazed with my new hair! I went in a brunette and walked out a blonde! I got so many comlpiments and my boyfriend loves it,he says it's like getting a new girlfriend! I also scored on a really cute necklace,and it's a one of a kind! I highly recomend this place to everyone! Enjoy!

great place. My friend told me about this salon because I just moved to austin,which i love by the way! I felt very comfortable from the moment I walked through the door and my stylist made me feel even more comfortable,it's difficult going to a new stylist,but she made me feel great and look amazing too! They also have a great boutique on one side of the salon to shop at while you process! I tried this product that I never heard of before,it's called Kevin Murphey and I love this stuff!
