Great daylight view!. What a great, interesting view before the sun goes down. The acoustics allow for a very loud atmosphere. For our evening-this was not an issue. Tried lots of rolls and enjoyed all but some more than others. Everything was good and it was a fun experience with our table of six. Some rolls we tried:McClovin, Apple Jack, Spider, California, Tropic Thunder, something with eel sauce and of course tuna and salmon sashimi. One of our party requested a particular cut, served a particular way and were accommodated without batting an eye. Part of our group ordered lamb chops and filet and altho they enjoyed their selections they ordered some sides after the fact because the meal needed a little something else. Our birthday guest enjoyed a complimentary cordial for desert and I ordered the flan which I really enjoyed. The only negative which became humorous to us was the servers aide kept filling our Sprite drinker's glass with water. I'll go back. It was a fun night , food good, service good, loved the view before dark, valet parking, reservations online.

Horrible. I went to Mizu, my favorite place to dine in Lakeway and was sadly disappointed. There were bones in the eel, shell in the crab and the rice was overcooked and mushy. When I asked about the shell in the crab, the waiter told me, "it comes from a shell." I was excited about the revamped menu and tried several rolls, none of which were good. The bill was $150.00 and I paid it with disgust. I will never go back. The menu does compare to Uchi, however, the food does not.

Chic, great food, not so impressive sushi. My friend and I tried to go to this place but missed the lunch hour and they turned us away. We finally made it out there a few days later. I had ordered the Spider Roll & Spicy Tuna Roll, she got the yakatori beef. My sushi was less than great. I have definitely had WAY better sushi before. The Spider roll was small and unimpressive. The Spicy Tuna Roll was also very tiny and NOT SPICY at all. They should have just called it a straight up Tuna Roll. When I had asked the waitress if they had made a mistake and forgot to put the spicy siracha on it she said no that's how it should taste...where I proceeded to look at her like she was crazy. I had to ask for the hot sauce on the side to dip my "Spicy" Tuna roll in..which was so wrong. If this is what you white people consider spicy? you're sadly mistaken, that is not what a true Spicy Tuna Roll should taste like, I've had better Spicy Tuna Rolls from inside a grocery store! So on to the Yakatori beef, FINALLY SOMETHING THAT WAS EDIBLE! I had a taste and it was fantastic! the sauce was spot on and you could still taste the meat which was tender and delectable. Note: Don't order sushi, order the cooked meals and you'll be fine.

Don't bother. I've never had such small pieces of sushi, and I've eaten a lot of sushi, most of it in Japan. I almost laughed when the brought my wife and the plate at how thin they sliced the fish and how tiny the rice. I was told by the manager that this is the traditional size of sushi, per their Japanese chefs. Sorry, but I've eaten it in Japan more times than I can count, and its not. This is more like charging a high price for not much food. I will say the rolls were good, and the fish was fresh, but otherwise a rip off. Service was slow. Don't bother.

All-around great place to eat!. Mizu has a very modern, chic and intimate atmosphere. The food is wonderful- I highly reccomend the Chorishi's Fire, it's by far the best roll I have ever had. Great service combined with an interesting menu makes Mizu a gem here in Lakeway. It's a great place to go on a date, and sitting at the sushi bar is always entertaining. Friendly, attentive service is an excellent compliment to the delicious food.

Best Sushi Ever. The rolls were wonderful, and the tea was perfect. The waitress was very nice and attentive. And the prices weren't bad. I think all of the rolls on the menu were under $15 for 6. There were so many choices! I am definitely going to go back soon!

good rolls, bad sashimi. Pros: The Choriso's Fire is one of the best rolls I have ever had. It is their signature roll. They soy based rolls are also a nice change if experienced. The Miso Soup is always good, and the service is good.

Cons: I ordered Escolar Sashimi once, and they gave me chunks of fish. Not at all what I have been accustomed to Sashimi looking like. In addition, the Niguri is par at best. I even ordered the Toro, and it tasted no better then some Niguri Tuna at a Chinese Buffet. The Niguri just seemed too dry to me.

Summary: Go here for the rolls, not the Sashimi nor Niguri.
