Austin >Camino Azul Custom Tattoo
Best decision my tattoo could have made. I got a few small tattoos before meeting Cody, and the process was never very enjoyable to me - lots of small dark shops and awkward banter with a guy who's obviously not interested in the inspiration behind the art he's working on. Cody was recommended to me by a good friend - what got my attention even more than my friend's words was the amazing looking piece in progress on his arm. Within a few minutes of walking in the door of Camino Azul I knew I'd found the right place. I came in with some very basic sketches (I'm no artist) and a couple of years worth of various ideas for a large backpiece. Cody listened to what I had to say, and fleshed out all my ideas into a piece of art more amazing than anything I'd envisioned to that point. From there the work has continued to evolve every session. Cody has really managed to capture the vision and spirit I had in mind, and at this point it's not just my piece anymore - I'm happy to say it's a collaboration, and Cody's contributions have brought it to life. Camino Azul is a bit out of the way, but it's also probably the coolest looking shop I've been in. It has a very open and comfortable atmosphere, and the art and decorations inside make for a space where creative ideas can flow freely. I've seen Cody do great work on all kinds of pieces now, but custom art is where he really shines. Before going to Camino Azul I never recommended a tattoo shop to anyone - I'd hate to send someone into a potentially bad experience, especially considering what's at stake. Since starting my piece with Cody I've pointed anyone who's interested in getting work done towards him, and I'm comfortable doing so knowing that their experience will be a stellar one. Do yourself a favor and give him a call - it'll make your tattoo happy.
Cody Creech is amazing!. I was new to Austin and looking for a talented artist to work on a pretty large rib piece that was very personal to me, and had to be perfect. A good friend of mine had a back piece in progress that he was working on with Cody Creech, and even as line work it looked amazing! I checked out a lot of different local artists, and was turned off by the chaotic atmosphere of many of the other shops, and I didn't feel like the artists were interested in the piece itself (mostly just interested in the cash). I decided to check out Camino Azul, and was stoked! Not only was Cody's portfolio incredible, but the shop was a really calm and relaxing place that seemed to reflect the art rather than the shock value most places try to convey. I showed Cody my ideas and made an appointment that day. When I went in for my first appointment I was very impressed by the cleanliness and safety of the procedure- I have other tattoos and have never had anyone take the precautions that Cody did, and it really says a lot. I have been back to Cody many times since, and I will never let anyone else touch me again! Not only is Cody extremely talented, but he takes pride in his art- and that's something that can't be said about everyone!
Best in Austin on any bet !. So a friend of mine and I were talking about his new tatts. Then i realized how life like his were and how much detail there was. Cody's tatts look almost 3D hes definately on another level . Its crazy cause if you ask him for a huge old tree done in black and gray, he does it better than you would ever imagine. Then i was like there is no way its gonna look that good in the skin. It did! The tat was even better in the skin! You can sit and look at all the detail for years. I wonder if he is from another planet with skills that great?! Mark these words "Cody will be world class" . So if you know what you want, get in there and make an appointment cause he gets backed up from 2 weeks to 2months at a time. Bye Bye austin scratchers( wanna be hacks)! no more sub par tatts for too much money just cause you have a shop in a conveinient location. Im so damn happy I found Cody , ill never sweat the turnout of a tatt again!.
Amazing Color, Great Coverup. When I first started going to Cody for tattoos I had a pretty large, but unfinished back piece. It not only needed finishing, it needed fixing! Cody has done a really great job rennovating the body of the tattoo and adding so much more beauty, shape and style to the piece. I've seen a lot of his other work too and he's really a master at both original pieces and covering up "mistake" tattoos with gorgeous tasteful pieces. The way he uses color is just amazing. People compliment and ask me about my artwork all the time, and they are all shocked at how bright my colors are after 3 years. Don't take my word for it though, go visit his shop and see for yourself!
