It’s taken me about two months to write this review because I was nervous that I would not be able to express the breadth of my gratitude for Dr. Reid and all of the wonderful women at Restora Austin.
Well, here goes…
I made an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Reid in 2011 after researching several Austin surgeons. Dr. Reid’s reviews were fantastic, so I made the call. The rest, as they say, is history. Perky breasts were never an attribute I possessed, even as a teenager, and I had been miserable with the size and weight of my sagging breasts since as long as I could remember. The day of my initial consultation with Dr. Reid was fraught with both excitement and apprehension. I imagined an office full of Barbie dolls and a surgeon who would not only discuss my breasts, but also point out all of my other faults.
That prejudgement could not have been further from the truth and I was pleasantly surprised that the office was not full of barbie- like automatons. All of the employees are natural, gorgeous, and above all kind and highly professional. Dr. Reid is a genial, enthusiastic, and a true gentleman. He, along with the amazing Brandy, discussed my options and I left feeling elated, even though I knew that I would not be able to afford the operation for sometime. They followed up with me several times nonetheless. It felt as if they really cared about my needs as a human being and a patient.
Fast forward two years and I could finally afford the surgery. I returned to Restora for another consultation. We together decided that I would be happy with a lift and an implant to fill out my shapeless bosom. I was excited to finally be able to have the procedure, so much so that it almost felt like a dream. I had my misgivings about the implant part of the procedure and so I went back to Restora for two more consults, just to be sure. I was not charged for the consults and they welcomed me back each time with open arms and smiles on their faces. The last consultation really showed me once again what a remarkable person Dr. Reid truly is. I was worried that the implants would be too heavy and I described as best I could the way I wanted to feel in my body after the procedure. He blew me away because he suggested that maybe a lift and a reduction would actually be better for me. The amazing part was that he would have made a few thousand dollars more had we stayed with the initial procedure that included implants. It was then that I truly knew I’d selected the right surgeon for me. Dr. Reid is not solely concerned with monetary gains nor does he want to make all women look the same. Instead, I believe his goal is to make people feel good in their own bodies. He is the exact opposite of what I expected from a plastic surgeon.
Beyond his huge heart, Dr. Reid is a master surgeon. I had the procedure on December 20th 2013 and couldn’t be happier. I barely had any pain, swelling, or bruising. Oh, and my breasts look and feel great! I am able to stand up straight, exercise easily, and go braless for the first time since puberty! It is an amazing feeling, and I have Dr. Reid and the entire Restora team to thank. I would trust my closest friends and family in Dr. Reid’s hands and I plan on being a lifelong patient.
In addition to the surgery, Dr. Reid recently treated my forehead with botox and I am as smooth as my eighteen year old self! Dr. Reid is absolutely brilliant and he knows just the right amount one needs to achieve their best result. I am truly grateful that there are plastic surgeons out there like Dr. Reid!
I normally don't do these types of reviews but I can not say enough about Dr. Reid at Restora! I had the most awesome experience, his great bedside manner, good client service, and great results! I truly believe in the ole' saying, "you get what you pay for"....and I believe its worth every penny when it comes to surgically modifying your body. Dr. Reid was slightly more in cost but I felt it would be worth it, I was most comfortable with him by far after numerous consultations with other PSs. Needless to say I was absolutely estatic with my results with my breast lift and so much so, I came to him three months later for an extended tummy tuck. Both procedures look amazing!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Reid and his staff to anyone, hands down.
Dr. Ashley Gordon and her staff at Restora Austin are absolutely amazing. I had received several recommendations for Dr. Gordon, including one from my gynecologist. After our initial consultation, I knew I was in good hands and was confident that she would do her best to ensure a positive outcome. Prior to meeting with Dr. Gordon, I had consulted with another plastic surgeon and afterward, I had so many doubts about both the surgery and the surgeon that I began questioning whether I should even consider this surgery. I’m very glad I went to Dr. Gordon for another opinion. Her calm confidence and focus on what I wanted to achieve were tremendously reassuring.
My body presented several challenges: after several surgeries as a child and teenager to correct pectus excavatum (where the ribs and sternum begin growing inward, causing a sunken appearance) and scoliosis (curvature of the spine), my right breast was set further back than my left and appeared much smaller. I was tremendously self-conscious and frustrated with having to pad one side of my bra, I had implants in 1981 to achieve better symmetry. Eventually, those implants ruptured, so that not only were my breasts asymmetrical again, but I had silicon leakage which caused additional health issues. To complicate it further, I have a bleeding disorder, so Dr. Gordon had to work closely with my hematologist to ensure safety in avoiding excessive bleeding.
Dr. Gordon was very positive and encouraging, but also realistic in setting my expectations. My hope was that she could remove all the leaked silicon, replace the ruptured implants with newer, safer ones to achieve symmetry again, and lift my breasts. Due to my earlier surgeries, she told me she wouldn’t know what was possible until I was actually in surgery and she could see where the silicon had spread, whether it had damaged existing breast tissue, how much scar tissue was present, whether there was adequate blood flow to the tissue, and what my chest structure would allow.
After talking extensively with Dr. Gordon about the options and risks, I knew that I could trust her to make the best decisions for me that she would want someone to make for her if she were the patient. I was confident that she would choose the best options aesthetically with safety as the guiding factor. I also believe that as a woman, she understood what this surgery meant to me and my body image.
Now, 6 weeks post-surgery, I’m thrilled with the results – they’re better than I ever could have imagined and my breasts look very natural. It has impacted the way I feel about my body in so many positive ways and I’m very glad I had the surgery. I experienced very little pain or discomfort after surgery, and received tremendous support, information and consistent professionalism from her entire staff, both pre- and post-surgery.
I can’t emphasize enough how compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled Dr. Gordon and her staff are. I would highly recommend Dr. Gordon and Restora Austin to anyone considering plastic surgery.
I decided to have a breast augmentations after having and breast feeding our son. Dr Gordon made sure to take the time to figure out exactly what size would be perfect for me. Her entire staff went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP patient. The surgery went well and the recovery seemed easy. The incision scar is so small and hidden. I am incredibly happy with the results. I would recommend Dr Gordon and her incredible team at Restora to anyone interested in a little self improvement. It's absolutely worth it!
Dr Reid is the best. I had a BA in 2000 and went over the muscle. The implants were to large for my body frame. They became so heavy and I felt as though I could never go without extra support. I consulted with Dr. Reid this past year, he had a plan to correct. He did a breast lift, removed the old implants, replacing them with a size (this time under the muscle) that was much better suited to my size and frame. I cannot begin to do this surgeon justice. I experienced very minimal bruising/trauma, I needed no pain medication 24 hours post op. He was available personally by phone on a weekend after hours when I needed to have medication adjusted. He dealt directly with the pharmacy and was on the phone with me every step of the way. I happen to be a nurse and do post op care for a lot of plastic surgery clients and in my experience this surgeon is one of the most caring, talented and compassionate doctors.
I love, love, love Restora! I had a breast augmentation and could not be happier. Dr. Reid has been wonderful every step of the way and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. I look very natural, which is exactly what I wanted. If you're considering getting anything done, I highly recommend him.
If I could give Restora 6 stars, I would. I got a BA done in January and I have yet to find one bad thing about Restora. I was lucky and had a friend refer me to Dr. Reid and after my consultation I didn't even bother looking anywhere else. The office staff is all so friendly as well. During my consultation both Dr. Reid and his assistant helped me more than I can imagine. I was probably the most unsure, indecisive patient. I told them the look I wanted to achieve and they told me what they thought would match that, which was 380 cc's. Up until the day of my surgery I was still indecisive and told Dr. Reid I thought I wanted to go down to 350 cc's because I did not want to look too 'fake'. Well after talking about it, I told him I trusted his opinion and he made the decision. He defintely knows what he is doing & went with the 380 and I am so thankful he did, I would have been dissatisfied with the size if we went with 350. I never imagined I would be this happy with the overall experience and look. I feel like I could do it all over again! Dr. Reid was apparently as gentle as possible during surgery, I have no bruises and very little swelling that was gone within the week.
The office staff has always been very helpful if I have ever called and had questions pre/post surgery. And I also had to reschedule my initial surgery date and they had no problem helping me out with that.
Dr. Gordon is amazing! She did my breast augmentation 5 days ago and I'm already back at work and feeling great. I love my breasts and wish I had done this years ago. I was very nervous about the size and shared my concerns with Dr. Gordon. My breasts now fit my body and I look great in my clothes, this is exactly what I wanted. I am so happy with the results and can't thank Dr Gordon and her team enough for all the support and care they have given me.
Dr Reid and the staff always made me feel comfortable and informed about my procedure, recovery and precautions. My results look and feel so natural. This has been a great experience! Restora and Dr Reid have helped me feel more self confident and feminine, I could not be happier!!!
When I began researching for a surgeon to perform my breast augmentation, I looked for specific requirements:
1. The surgeon's education, length of career, and reputation
2. The surgeon's gender, as I felt that a female surgeon would create a better rapport and have the necessary empathy
3. The office environment and client treatment by the surgeon's staff and nurses
4. The surgeon's hospital affiliation and whether the surgery is performed in a hospital facility
5. The initial consultation and how my questions would be answered and concerns addressed
For six months I researched and consulted with surgeons from Houston, Dallas, and Austin. To ensure that the surgeon I choose to perform my breast augmentation would be the best, I was willing to travel and accept any reasonable fee. The surgeon I chose was Dr. Ashley Gordon with Restora Austin. And given the perfect result, it was the best decision.
The minute I walked into Restora Austin's office and being greeted by the staff, I felt comfortable and at ease. I felt instantly connected to Dr. Gordon because of her warm personality and patient manner. She asked what I wanted to achieve with an augmentation, what I did not want, and what my concerns were. She answered all of my questions and helped me reach the best decision for myself based on her experience and expertise. I was informed in detail of the choices from silicone to saline, implant textures, sizes, and so forth. After the initial consultation and follow-up appointment I felt confident that I had chosen the right surgeon for my procedure. I knew that I would be in good hands.
At the day of surgery, before the procedure, Dr. Gordon came to talk with me and put me at ease. After returning home, Dr. Gordon and the nurses called to check on me and make sure I was feeling well. My recovery time was normal - actually quicker than I expected - and the pain minimal. Dr. Gordon and her staff were always available when I had questions or needed anything after my surgery. They continued to follow up with periodic appointments to assess my recovery progress, both physically and emotionally.
I highly recommend Dr. Ashley Gordon as a highly qualified, talented, and caring surgeon. My results are beautiful and I could not be happier.
