Not so relaxing!. I know it's hard to rate a massage place because it depends on the person you get, but I had to comment. The lady Maxine who worked on me did a poor job of listening to what I wanted in a massage. I had to tell her 4 times that she was doing it too hard, and she kept the exact same pressure as if I didn't say a word. She was supposed to be good with deep tissue, but I specifically said that I don't like deep tissue except for some few points on my body. I told her I had problems with my lower back and hip, but she focused on my shoulders, arms and upper back. I am a seasoned receiver of massage, and the one thing I don't like is if the person doesn't stay attuned to your wants and body reactions. I was definitely jerking around in pain and felt like I just ran the marathon because of this hard massage. I was not relaxed at all. Some people like hard massage, but I wanted something between firm and relaxing. This was extreme! Besides that, the carpet of the room I was in was filthy and the place was stuffy and warm. To top it all off, I told her that I wanted to only have a 1 hour massage and maybe 1.5 hours if she is good but she went ahead and did 1.5 hours without asking! I will not be returning.
