not so impressed .... Classes too large. Too little attention to individual student. Emphasis seems to be on $$$ rather than yoga. I suggest going to smaller yoga studio if you're really interested in the practice of yoga.
Best yoga in town. I have been going to Yoga Yoga off & on for a few years now (when I can afford it) and tend to frequent the NW location since it's close to my office. It's a smaller facility than the other three locations, but the staff is always friendly as usual, and the instructors are excellent. I always leave feeling so serene and peaceful...the chai tea at the end of class certainly adds to that! The Ashtanga yoga was a little too intense for me, but I love their Hatha Flow classes - its a good, sweaty workout for intermediate yogis, and helps me to stay in the present moment. And of course their Hatha yoga classes are always relaxing.
Great for beginning yoga!. Yoga Yoga is a good place to begin a yoga practice. The teachers are knowledgeable and friendly, and the front desk staff is always cordial. Yoga Yoga offers classes in three "types" of yoga: hatha, kundalini, and ashtanga. If you are a total beginner, they also offer 4 week series (8 classes) in which they teach you the basics. I took the Hatha series, and it helped me immensely. The northwest location is in a new shopping center, and the facility is kept very clean. There are three rooms for classes (one large/2 small), and they tend to fill up quickly. This is a popular location, so don't be surprised if your classes are a little crowded in the evenings.
Best Yoga Center by Far....... Yoga Yoga offers the most diversity in instructors! This keeps things interesting for my yoga practice. This also gives a beginner plenty of teachers and styles to choose from. The whole center has a real earthy vibe to it. Yoga Yoga is an Austin original!
