Great customer service.
In the 8 years i have lived here in Austin, the Mohawk is the best club that has occupied that space on the corner. The new patios are nice additions. It gets a little hot inside the club during the summer but loud rowdy bands sound better when you've sweat through your pants twice. The service at the Mohawk is incredible. I dropped my cell phone (I know, who cares) onto a small ledge in between the first and second stories while all the staff were scrambling to set up for multiple events. I told one of the guys about it and he said he'd get to it in a minute and sure enough, shortly after I told him, he and another Mohawk employee were climbing up a ladder between all the power lines and getting my phone for me when they had plenty of other priorities. It was a nice example of the city that Austin is. I think one of the guys was named Mark and I can't remember the other guy's name but thanks a bunch.

Consistent.
I like this place. Every time I go in there, the bands (whether I have heard of it or not) are consistently great. The recycled thing is cool, and the old saloon bar makes me want to quit my job and booze there during the day. When the weather is good, there is no better place to enjoy live music in Austin right now.

American Indian-inspired bar hosts live music in an earth-friendly environment..
In Short
Named for the earth-loving native tribe rather than the rebellious hairstyle, this roomy bar and live music venue contributes to the local music scene with resourcefulness and loyalty. Recycled decor abounds, from the hunks of log-turned-end tables to the pine lining the indoor stage. The Red River location attracts casual, music-loving patrons who enjoy the no-frills beer, wine and liquor options as well as the wide-open outdoor patio that doubles as a second stage.
