My Favorite Austin Mexican Restaurant. This is my favorite Austin Mexican Restaurant. The menu is unique, all the various sauces are outstanding, and the corn tortillas are the best I've had around here.

Austin's Best Interior Mexican Cuisine. A tacqueria? I think not! These are the best sauces since Pinch a Pollo closed so long ago. There are a few dishes here that are not found at other restaurants or simply are prepared better here. Funky down home old Austin decor is a plus for me.

And they know how to make a margarita also.

Excellent!!!. Have always loved this place. We go all the time. The chicken nachos are fantastic, he Puerco Pipian is a must and the Xoxti (spelling) soup is incredible. They have recently redone the inside which is nice but it isn't about the atmosphere for me there, it is the food which is delicious. They have an outdoor patio which is nice to sit on but sometimes loud as it is on Lamar. Parking can be tough but worth it.

Very good at affordable prices... Just got back to the office after lunch at Sazon. The lunch specials are reasonably prices. Tacos Al Pastor was good and the Salad Mexicana was exceptional with Spinach, toasted anchos and a light vinaigrette. Margarita rocks was 5 bucks and au natural with no sweet and sour. The only way to go in my book. Overall a fine dining experience. The other menu items looked great particularly the Conchinita Pibil and several mole and pipain dishes. This is one of a growing troupe of interior cuisine spots and it can hold its own against them all. Only challange was the parking, the place was only about half full and they were out of spaces. We'll be back.

Going to give it a second chance. (Replacing the original review) I'd posted a scathing review here due to outrageously rude service from the manager and wait staff, however, I also contacted the owner via e-mail and we've had a very productive chat since then. He's invited me back to give the place another chance, and I've decided to withdraw the review until I've had another go at Sazon...
