Eastside Pies

My favorite pizza spot on the east side finally has multiple locations! There's something for everyone at East Side - gluten free and veg included! This place has given new life to thin crust pies in ATX.

It's all about sauce at East Side Pies, people: There's a marinara menu, a hummus sauce menu, a black bean sauce menu, etc. All in all we're talking 34 pizza varieties people. I'm a marinara girl myself, and the simple Epoch -- topped with feta, artichoke, and cherry tomatoes -- is my yummy (if a little boring) treat.

East Side Pies have some of the most inventive pies in town! Try their curry-based or black bean-based pizzas like the Fast Pie or The Nacho

New Airport location of East side pies. The pizza from East side pies can be described simply as ok, no better, no worse. What is truly memorable about this place is their horrible customer service. We called to check the status of our delivery last night once it was 30 minutes late and was told it would be here soon. They never even bothered to show up! They were rude on the phone, hung up on us, and NEVER SHOWED. No one bothered to call back and apologize or respond to the e-mail send addressing this issue. Unreal. Don’t waste your time or money on this place- they’re a complete joke.

Meh. Nothing special here that I could taste. I've ordered a pie here a couple of times and it tastes like what you can buy at the mall. People rave about East Side Pies and I don't get it at all. It's really nothing special to me.

Top 2 Best Pies in the ATX. Wow... what do i say, stellar pizza? i say yes. i'm a big time foodie for all of Austin's local spots and this place is something to talk about. i've been to many pizza spots looking for the thin neapolitan style crust and this place has what im lookin for. ive done Salvation, Milto's, Southside Flying Pies, The Onion, etc. and i must say ESP and Homeslice are my top 2! oh yeah and the owner and employees were actually pretty cool. no deusche bag attitudes, like some other places. Right on ESP, keep servin 'em up!

I love this place!!. Probably my favorite pizza in town. Fantastic homemade pesto... fantastic roasted vegetables.... fantastic slices to go (never boring) .... it's fantastic the next day... they deliver to my house and I live pretty far east. It's an oasis, one of new my favorite things about living on the east side.

Great Appetizer-style pizza. I have really mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, it is really funky/local and the ingredients are unique and delicious. On the other hand, it's a teeny hole in the wall that only 2 people can fit inside comfortably for ordering and the outdoor seating environment, although it does its best- unique/cool, is just not comfortable to me. Probably because it's not in a location with generally great atmosphere. If it were on a downtown strip and the weather in Austin was nicer more of the time, it might be more enjoyable to sit outside, but it feels more like sitting out on a concrete street corner in a sketchy neighborhood.

Style? The ones my husband and I got were more like a greek style crust? It's extremely thin and so the crust and toppings get cold SUPER fast, becoming hard and chewy. This is why I say it would be good as an appetizer- something you share with others and eat fast.

The garlic bread is nothing like I've ever had before. It has a TON of whole garlic cloves on and in it and quite a bit of big pieces of scallions, which can be over the top for some. I LOVE garlic, but can't eat this much of it in one serving. I'm sure there are lots of fans of this unique offering, but if you order without looking- especially if you were just trying to find something innocuous for your kids to eat- you might be unpleasantly surprised. My kids tried really hard to be nice and eat this, but I didn't blame them for being unable to get through it. I can't waste food, so had small pieces of it with my lunch over the next several days.

A New York-style pizza-by-the-slice joint mixes with a dash of Austin's laid-back hippie attitude.. In Short
Creativity oozes out of tiny, tidy East Side Pies with its screaming red trim and corrugated aluminum fencing. Pizza and salads are served all day with lunchtime specials such as baked ziti. The impossibly thin crispy pizza crust is doused with a zesty sauce and artfully crowned with a list of traditional to funky sauces and toppings. Business is largely take out and delivery, where customers place orders at the counter or at the take-out window.
